00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, it's been an exceptionally wet few weeks across many parts
00:04of the UK and unfortunately we have further spells of rain on the way through the next
00:08few days too. This is the wider view from space. This massive cloud out across the North
00:13Atlantic is what's waiting in the wings for Monday. But ahead of that, we've had some
00:17rain overnight as well, particularly across parts of eastern Scotland and also down across
00:22the southwest where parts of Dorset, Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire have seen some particularly
00:27heavy rain through Sunday morning. As we go through the next few hours into this afternoon,
00:32we'll continue to see some heavy showers or longer spells of rain gradually working their
00:36way northwards into the Midlands through this afternoon. And spells of rain will continue
00:40across parts of Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland as well. And it will be
00:45a pretty windy afternoon once again for Orkney and Shetland in particular, winds touching gale
00:50force from a south-easy direction here. So pretty cold in that wind, temperatures no better than
00:55five or six degrees Celsius for Lerwick. But for most of us, actually, it is going to be
01:00a much milder picture compared to recent days. In the south, highs of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.
01:06And we might even see one or two brighter interludes developing, perhaps across parts of Wales
01:11and the very far south-east. But generally, temperatures higher than they have been.
01:16As we go into this evening, we continue to see further spells of rain or showers pushing their way
01:20north-eastwards across the UK. So where it might well have been a dry day across East Anger in the south,
01:25south-east. I'm expecting some rain here this evening too. Through the night, one or two
01:29clearer interludes developing here and there. And perhaps where winds fall light enough,
01:33we could see a few isolated mist and fog patches forming once again. But for most,
01:37the cloud will act like a blanket and prevent temperatures from falling away too low. So
01:42lows of six or seven degrees Celsius in the main towns and cities tonight and largely frost-free.
01:47The exception perhaps being in the very far north of Scotland, where we could well see some
01:50clearer skies here and we might well see a touch of frost locally.
01:54So a fairly cloudy start to the day on Monday for many of us. There will be some
01:58spells of rain or showers as well, particularly focused once again for north-east Scotland. So
02:03Aberdeenshire, Auckland and Shetland are seeing a fairly wet day once again, although
02:08tend to improve a little bit into the afternoon and not quite as windy as recent days.
02:13Otherwise, some brightness developing. So parts of the Midlands,
02:17eastern England and the south-east could see a much brighter day to come compared to of late as well.
02:22So here, temperatures into double figures. It might feel relatively pleasant for February.
02:27But out towards the west, well, here we have another area of rain pushing in through the afternoon.
02:32The wind's strengthening, particularly in the south-west.
02:36Winds coming in from a south-eastly direction, so coming onto coasts that have been particularly
02:40affected by recent storms. And there will be some heavy rain. The rain falling on saturated ground,
02:44so further flooding is possible, particularly as we move into the evening. Temperatures, though,
02:50similar to recent days, around average in the north, but generally above in the south, highs of 10
02:55to 12 degrees. So the rain continues to make its way further eastwards through Monday evening,
03:00affecting parts of Wales, central southern England and towards the south-east. So potentially
03:04some surface water on the roads for Monday evening's rush hour and some difficult driving
03:08conditions as well. Now we have further spells of low pressure and spells of rain on the way
03:14through the week ahead. So flooding will be an ongoing concern in parts of the UK, particularly
03:19for eastern Scotland and also across Wales and the south-west. So if you do have any concerns,
03:24do please make sure that you check out warnings on our website and our app. And also make sure you
