You won’t believe it’s not apples! In this video, learn how to make this zucchini apple pie recipe that’ll help you use up all that leftover summer squash in the kitchen. Sliced zucchini are cooked until tender and crisp, then seasoned with your usual apple pie flavors and baked in a pastry crust until golden brown and flaky.

00:00Can you make apple pie without apples? We're going to find out. Fill your zucchini, cut into
00:03quarters lengthwise, remove the seeds, and cut again crosswise. Add lemon juice and salt and
00:08place the mixture into a frying pan. Cook until tender crisp. In a separate bowl, mix together the
00:11brown sugar, cinnamon, cream of tartar, nutmeg, and flour. Add the mixture to your cooked zucchini,
00:16then place the filling into a 9-inch pie crust. Dot with butter and place the top crust on.
00:20Bake at 400 for 30 to 35 minutes. Now to see if our zucchini apple pie actually tastes like apple.
