00:00Hi, Andy. How are you?
00:02Good to see you, I've seen you for ages.
00:11Can you get us started, Andy?
00:18Yeah, tough. High-level opposition, best team in the league last year.
00:24And they showed it, they played like it.
00:27So, yeah, really tough, a big experience for the players.
00:30A lot of starting players for us.
00:32It's their Premier League debut.
00:34So, parts of the game were tough.
00:36Of course, we don't like the result, but it can happen here.
00:38I didn't mind the reaction towards the end of the game as it went on.
00:41You know, of course, they're 3-0 up, but I saw some OK things there.
00:46And it's a big learning curve for the players today.
00:48What are the main positives you can take from your team?
00:52Well, they kept going, they kept going right to the end.
00:55And when I'm saying that there's Premier League debuts,
00:57the noise here at the start of the game was,
01:00you know, I remember that noise.
01:01It's different to the Championship no matter where you go.
01:04So, those things are things to handle as a player.
01:06And we talked about it a lot before the game,
01:08but I have to go through that and experience that.
01:10We're not a team with players that have been up there
01:11and played at those levels.
01:13We've got players that are quality players that deserve to be here.
01:17They're going to have to take that on.
01:19And again, I think that's why it's a good experience for them
01:23and for us and for all.
01:24And the important thing for me is to remain positive
01:27because Arsenal away will not define our season.
01:29It absolutely won't.
01:31But taking on the little lesson from it absolutely will.
01:49Yeah, it felt very good because you feel it as you drive up to the Emirates,
01:53you feel the level go up.
01:56It's also what you do, it's your job.
01:57So, for me, I'm very proud that we got back here,
02:00but now we want to go and do well.
02:01You know, and we've lost a football game.
02:03But in the beginning, yeah, the feeling was pride,
02:05but the feeling is try and go and do our job.
02:07And absolutely, the players showed the right application,
02:10the right desire to want to do their job.
02:12It was just a difficult game for us in different ways
02:14and it didn't work out our way,
02:16which a lot of people have said before the game,
02:17that it might be the way it goes.
02:19We always want a bit more.
02:20We always want to compete and stay in the game longer.
02:22And we didn't when you lose the first goal.
02:25And even in the first half,
02:26I thought normally we would have that little bit more bravery
02:29at the bottom of the pitch to play and vary our game.
02:31In the end, we went longer a little bit.
02:33But I have absolute sympathy with the players
02:35because the pressure is higher than the next five.
02:37So, we have to find better ways to get out of that.
02:39So, we played against the best today
02:41and that's a great level for us to look at now
02:43and then go, OK, where do we improve?
02:45Andy, we should look there next.
02:47Yeah.
02:49Yeah.
02:50Yeah.
02:50Hi, I'm Kintana from Beacons.
02:52I just want to ask about Taiwan winning my country man.
02:55What attributes do you think it brings to this team,
02:57where the team is currently right now?
02:59And what attributes do you think it brings to the set-up
03:02that you would be for this team?
03:03He brings his attributes, I think, are quite clear to the eye,
03:07which is his strength and his power and speed.
03:11And also, I think, around the box,
03:13which he obviously couldn't get around there too much today,
03:15but I think he scores goals.
03:16He scored goals against my teams before.
03:19He also brings his kind of presence as a team-mate.
03:22I saw as he left Nottingham Forest
03:23how much love the club had for him and his team-mates.
03:27And that's what we need,
03:27to like good people who come in with that kind of energy.
03:30And, yeah, I think he's going to be a big player for us.
03:32I'm very happy to have him.
03:33And I think it's a perfect amount of minutes for him.
03:35He hasn't played so many minutes in pre-season.
03:37It's going to get better and better for us.
03:38But, yeah, for those number-nine attributes that he has.
03:43Hi, Craig.
03:44You've obviously prepared thoroughly for this game.
03:46You had a corner-off about 22nd before Coventry.
03:49But, as you said, Arsenal are very strong.
03:51What is it that makes this Arsenal side so difficult to play against?
03:55Because they have a bit of everything.
03:57They're very, very good off the ball.
03:59The best out-of-possession team in the league last year.
04:01All the data backs it up.
04:02They've closed down all your passing angles very, very quickly.
04:05We've not been exposed to that as a team.
04:07So, I think that's why I'm sitting here saying fair play to the players.
04:11And they'll take that on board.
04:12And then, as they play, you can feel it on the side of the pitch.
04:15There's a high technical level.
04:17A high physicality about them.
04:18A great way of playing.
04:19It's very, very hard to high-press this team.
04:21Because they'll play through you and rip through you.
04:23So, we decided we want to be more in the middle of the pitch.
04:26And I thought we did some work really, really well to delay
04:28and then work the sides.
04:29And then they just need a few moments to hurt you.
04:32So, yeah, a very, very strong unit that they've built.
04:35Is that just Arsenal or is that just the Premier League as a whole?
04:38Oh, yeah.
04:38It's a clear step up.
04:40We know that, of course, the league.
04:41But Arsenal are the best at it.
04:43They proved that last year.
04:44And we felt that tonight.
04:46And sometimes you respect the opposition and say that.
04:50Frank, you talked about taking lessons from this.
04:53Do you think having this test in time could actually be a good thing
04:56at first half because it just shows them exactly what the level is
04:59straight away?
05:00Yeah, maybe.
05:01It's good for the players.
05:02They understand that.
05:03And we haven't had a lot of defeats over the last season.
05:08You know, we had a few, but we always have a feeling of happiness
05:11in how we're playing and getting results.
05:13And I think the reality of football is not always like that.
05:15So for the players individually and collectively to feel that,
05:19I think it's a good thing.
05:20And it's important that I and we support them in that feeling
05:23because losing and feeling like a team is superior to you.
05:27It's not a nice feeling, but that's not the case forevermore.
05:31That's a high level.
05:33We know things we're good at.
05:34We know how effective we want to be in games.
05:36We have to show that going forward.
05:41Thank you very much.
