00:00The Mets and the Braves in at Truist. Well, tonight they got Nolan McLean going on the mound.
00:06Martin Perez, sneaky good pitchers duel here. Doesn't feel like we're going to get a ton of
00:13runs, but, you know, the Braves bullpen speaks for itself. I don't know what the Mets have in
00:19the bullpen now, as I believe Williams just went on the IL, right? They shelved him. So what do we
00:26get Braves? Do the Braves just bounce back at a pretty decent price here tonight?
00:31I saw this game this morning and I was like, this is a game that a lot of people are
00:35going
00:35to have circled because they're just simply going to look at the standings and look at
00:38things and go, oh, the Braves aren't going to lose this many in a row. The Mets aren't
00:43going to continue to win. The Mets aren't going to take two in a row against the Braves.
00:46And you're like, wow, it's McLean versus Martin Perez. Martin Perez isn't a good pitcher.
00:51He he's been good as of late, but overall he's not actually a good pitcher. When
00:55meanwhile, no McLean's pretty damn awesome, but you're like, Hey, how do I pass up the
01:00Braves at a minus one 24 minus one 20 is price the Braves at home at that type of
01:05price, I think is attractive in any capacity, no matter who they're going up
01:09against. I will bet on, again, as I say, the totality of the Braves, give me the
01:14entire Braves team and the back end of their bullpen going up against the Mets.
01:19I don't think they're going to continue to go with a six and four over their last
01:22and we think the Mets going to go seven and three over a 10 game stretch.
01:25No, give me the Braves at this price.
01:28Yep. Yeah. Get the Braves. I'll take, I'm with you.
01:32It may sometimes you, you look for reasons to talk yourself out of something where
01:37sometimes if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, guess what? It's a duck.
01:40I don't think it's anything else other than that there. What is big picture with the
01:46Braves for you? Just kind of plodding along, going to win the National League East.
01:52Would you take them over the Brewers or the Cubs one way or the other?
01:58I think so. I trust the Braves and I don't want to say some of the postseason magic they have,
02:07but you know, when we're looking at their lineup and this is the same, this is what I said about
02:12the Brewers is when they go out and they trade for Dustin May at the trade deadline, they don't
02:16need pitching help. They need hitting help. They have great pitchers. The Brewers bullpen is awesome.
02:21They don't need pitching help. You need to build a lineup that can go toe-to-toe with the Dodgers.
02:26And frankly, the Braves may not have the pitching, at least the starting and front end pitching,
02:30but they have a lineup that can go toe-to-toe with the Dodgers, I think. So if you get
02:34enough
02:35starting pitching from the Braves, you have the lineup and then you have the back end of the
02:38bullpen, I think the Braves are the most dangerous team in the NL because the Phillies
02:43seemingly can't put it all together. The first three starters that the Phillies have are Chris
02:47Sanchez, Zach Wheeler, and Jesus Lizardo. Pretty awesome. If those pitchers could just be on the
02:51Braves and those quality pitchers, the Braves would be the contender alongside the Dodgers, but
02:56it has to be the Braves coming out of the NL outside of the Phillies or the Brewers.
03:03I like their offense the best, one through nine. Having Acuna Jr. back, I think is huge. Not to
03:11mention, I mean, people forget because it feels like he's always been hurt, but he is a monster
03:17and has been August and September every time he's been healthy enough. I mean, he can carry this team
03:24as he goes. This team goes. I think Olsen's having a unbelievable year. Listen, what was it? Riley
03:30went, couldn't, uh, couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat for about two months, but now he's
03:35starting to get going. This is a team. I think with that back end and a bullpen, sure. The starting
03:40pitching may not, you know, Bryce Elder is not going to win anybody over, but if they're scoring seven
03:45runs a game, I got enough confidence in the back end of that bullpen to be like, give me the
03:50Braves in
03:50a short series anytime. Yeah. Right. Cause they can, and part of it is that I think they can out
03:55slug teams. Right. And that's just really what it comes down to where the Brewers, I, again, the top
04:01of the line for the Brewers are Churio and Yelich and Bryce Drang is awesome. And Contreras great top
04:07of the lineup for the Brewers. I think the Braves have more depth. And frankly, if I, if I think
04:12the
04:12Braves can win a game seven to five, the Phillies could do that maybe, but the Brewers can't, that's not
04:17the Brewers game. I think the Braves can just out slug teams and win you in a series. And frankly,
04:22if they're doing that, then, then starting pitching is just null and it's equal across
04:27the board. If they can get to starting pitching, then it's equal. And I think the favor would still
04:31be in the Braves knowing that they have those hitters. And Braves always go on these magical
04:35runs where they have, they bring hitters in at the trade deadline and they're just all hitting
04:40home runs once the postseason rolls around.
