00:04I read the article and I thought it said that Jacob DeGrom, who's pitching for Texas tonight, has never won
00:11at Angel Stadium.
00:12And sure enough, Tom, he never has.
00:14He's 0-4 in his career pitching at Angel Stadium.
00:18He's got nearly an 8 ERA.
00:21He already lost back in late May against the Angels this season here.
00:27They tattooed him, I think, what did he get, six runs in three innings that he pitched.
00:32So he has not had success, but neither is Texas hitting the ball lately, which is kind of head-scratching.
00:39The quality of pitchers the Rangers have faced from the Angels the last two nights.
00:44And the fact that they can barely score is not a good sign for Jacob DeGrom to get, I don't
00:51know, run support here tonight.
00:53You don't think he's going to last long at all, period, in this game tonight.

00:5917-and-a-half out prop for DeGrom is a bit too much.
01:04He has not gone past five innings, not just six innings.
01:07He hasn't even gone past five innings since the end of June.
01:11And you would think, okay, the Rangers are struggling.
01:14You know, they need to right the ship.
01:16They need to get things going.
01:17This would be the time for them to be like, all right, DeGrom, you've got to be the guy.
01:21You've got to be our guy.
01:21You've got to be out there, do your thing.
01:23But I believe that the Rangers and what they've shown for us over the past few years,
01:26like there's clearly a plan for them to have DeGrom healthy for the entire season.
01:31Because if they're this mediocre right now, they're probably going to be this mediocre in a month from now.
01:35And you can't burn DeGrom out essentially.
01:37Like you can't burn him out when you're going to need him in a month and six weeks from now.
01:40So I'm just taking the unders on DeGrom.
01:41And if he gets there, so be it.
01:44But the offense has not been there for him to like instill the confidence in the Rangers that he should
01:49stay in the game.
01:50And they have a decent enough bullpen.
01:52And it's not a difficult opponent that the bullpen can't handle the Angels.

01:57Well, and listen, the Angels bullpen is not good either, which is amazing to me.
02:02But the thing with the Angels is, except for I think last night they scored five runs, five, two.
02:09They had gone, prior to last night, 16 straight games of not scoring more than four runs.
02:18I mean, that is, you want to talk about ineptitude.
02:22And listen, I mean, it's not like the top half of that order are guys that you know, right?
02:27I mean, you know, Trout finally had a pretty good night there.
02:30And, yes, they ended up, you know, they scored five runs.
02:35Congrats.
02:35But they went 16 straight games not being able to score more than four runs.
02:41And Texas is not helping the situation either because they've got their own set of issues here.

02:49But he's hitting a buck 67.
02:51Go up and down this lineup of Texas.
02:53You want to talk about woefully underperforming.
02:57The Texas Rangers lineup, now they're a game under .500.
03:01Yeah, they got to get this game here tonight, especially with the Grom on the mound.

03:07And they're just a .500 team.
03:10They were 24 and 24.
03:12They ended up 25 and 25.
03:13But that's what they are.
03:14They've lost a couple.
03:15They can win one and get back to .500.
03:17I think it's as simple as that.
03:19The talent or the perceived talent that the Rangers have on offense should be shining.
03:24You know, Jock Peterson, he's a veteran.
03:25We know that's him with Corey Seager.
03:27But Wyatt Langford, Brandon Nimmo's been solid.
03:29Ezekiel Duran, Evan Carter, Jake Berger.
03:31Like, those guys should be stepping up.
03:33And granted, Walbert Urena for the Angels, he's been pretty solid.
03:37Like, he hasn't been terrible.
03:38But if you can just get enough runs across, I think three, maybe four should be enough for the Rangers.
03:44But I think that might be even stretching it to ask that much.
03:47I mean, why am I betting it over in this game?
03:50I just don't.
03:53I know.
03:54I'm not doing it there at all.
