00:04This is the first time these guys have had a singles match since 2008 on Raw.
00:09Obviously, a lot has changed between these two.
00:12I've kind of gone back and forth on this in a lot of ways.
00:15But to me, it's always about what's the most interesting story you can tell.
00:18The most interesting story you can tell is Punk winning.
00:20Cody getting another title reign, another run.
00:23I don't think people would want that right now, especially as a babyface.
00:27If Punk wins, Cody's got to have to make a decision.
00:31The Cody character's got to have to make a decision of, do I accept this?
00:34Do I finally turn heel?
00:36Because maybe it's the only way I get that title I lust for back.
00:41I think this is our best chance to get the Cody heel turn.
00:43I think it's the best story they can tell, whether it's right after the match,
00:47whether it's the next night later in the week on SmackDown that it happens,
00:52and you kind of milk it a little bit where he kind of congratulates Punk
00:55or raises his hand and then does the old clothesline or the kick.
00:59I do think there's one way that the Cody winning works is if you can get a Randy Orton
01:05or if somehow Kevin Owens is ready to come back
01:07and you can give him a fresh heel to really sink his teeth into.
01:15After a win, you know, Cody winning, getting his hand raised
01:18and Orton coming out of somewhere with an RKO certainly could work.
