00:00My name is Annabelle and I just rode my bike from Norway to South Africa and now I'm in Cape
00:04Town.
00:12I just kind of had this like thought of like when you're old you can like look back on your
00:16life
00:17and you've either like done these big crazy things or like you haven't and you either will have biked
00:22around the world or you will have not. How cool would it be to like be someone who has? And
00:25so
00:25then we kind of like started like talking about it as like kind of a joking thing but Alex like
00:30my
00:30partner is very like if you say something he's looking it up he's researching and he's like
00:35getting you going he doesn't like like static energy he wants everything to keep moving and so
00:40that night we like started looking into it and so we're like okay this is like a thing people do
00:44if
00:44people do it we can do it and then from that point on for the next 10 months was like
00:48laser track focus
00:49on this idea our goal is to bike around the world and so in our mind like that's broken up
00:54into like
00:55continents or legs the first leg that we chose to do is Norway to South Africa. Obviously it's like
01:02so different to be like cycling in the snow and the fjords in Norway and then to be cycling in
01:06the
01:06Sahara Desert in Morocco or to be in like the jungle in Congo like the just like vastness of the
01:12world
01:13and like the human experience is pretty crazy. Like while we're doing something like really special and
01:21incredible and like something that a lot of people would love to do and like seeing the world and
01:24seeing the world in a very like humble and like I don't know honest way like of course there are
01:29times where it like sucked and was like miserable and I like wanted to go home but giving into that
01:35is like a different thing and I think like what we would joke about a lot is that like in
01:39a lot of
01:39in a lot of the worst moments like the times where you're like this I want to go home the
01:43physical
01:43act of getting home would be horrible like it's like it's not like you can just like snap your fingers
01:48and then like get an uber and go to the airport and go home like it's easier to quit in
01:52your brain
01:52than it is to actually quit I think. My mindset was just like if you can make it from New
01:56York to
01:56Boston you can make it to Norway if you can make it through Norway you can make it as far
02:00as you
02:00want to go and so I hope you take some comfort in that and I hope this inspires you a
02:04little bit
02:05to do something that maybe you thought wasn't possible for you or maybe just feels a little bit
02:09out of reach
