00:00Let's hear yours. I see some people on the text line. I see you jumping in there. I see you
00:04on YouTube, Twitch, with your thoughts.
00:09Who is it? The wild card. And again, I want to stress this. When I say the wild card, man,
00:15this is somebody right now that isn't a focal point member on the offense.
00:22Someone texted in, does Dalton Schultz count as that? Yeah, I don't know if I would say Dalton Schultz is
00:29a wild card. This is a guy who had 80-plus catches last year.
00:33I'd take David Montgomery, Nico Collins, and Dalton out of the mix. And CJ.
00:41Yeah, and CJ. So yeah, those guys aren't wild cards. You know the players we're talking about. These are guys
00:46that if this person steps, I would say, steps out of the shadows, Clint.
00:51And becomes one of the focal points, they've got a real chance to kind of get rolling.
01:00Who would you say fits the bill for you as a wild card?
01:03I think it's Jaden Higgins by a mile.
01:07Here's why. Let me explain, right?
01:09Is obviously 6'4", 215 pounds. I mean, you're talking about a dude that if he comes into his own,
01:15you're not talking about being a good player.
01:17You're talking about being the next Nico Collins type deal. You're talking about a T. Higgins opposite Jamar Chase.
01:24So just the caliber receiver we're talking about him turning into.
01:28Now let's transition to having 6'4", 225 on the left side and 6'4", 220 on the right side.
01:35You're hard to handle. You're physically hard to handle in the pass game.
01:40The red zone is going to be an absolute monster.
01:43And so there's a huge uptick there.
01:45And then I'll finish with this, and this is probably the most important one.
01:50I do not believe that they're going to be able to run the football as effectively as they think they're
01:53going to be able to run the football.
01:55They want to.
01:56And so I think they're going to need help in critical situations.
02:03Again, third downs, red zone, that kind of deal.
02:06So you're going to need a bigger-bodied player.
02:08So schematically, I don't believe they're going to be as powerful as they want to be in the run game.
02:13So they're going to need that other body opposite Nico Collins.
02:17Now let's say I'm wrong, and they do run the football as effectively as they think they're going to be
02:22able to run the football.
02:23Now you've got two dudes in one-on-one coverage outside that are an absolute problem.
02:28Right?
02:29I mean, whether you're throwing a quick game, screen game, you're throwing jump balls, whether you're midfield or you're in
02:34the red zone, you've got problems.
02:37How do they want to play football?
02:38They want to motion guys in and block off the edge.
02:40They want to bring guys into the backfield and block in the damn red zone and in the goal line.
02:45These two guys, if you want to, advise it because they're important players.
02:49But if you want to, you've got 6'4", 215, 6'4", 220, 225.
02:54You've got guys that can come in there and block the edge, seal off the backside, block force players.
03:00It just changes the offense across the board.
03:04So I've got to go with Jaden Higgins, man, and I don't know that there's a close thing.
03:07You said a mile there.
03:09A mile.
03:09I see some people texting in their thoughts.
03:11Jaden Higgins has been a name that rolled in.
03:15And for me, Clint, it is, I try to think of this in multiple ways.
03:21Again, we're discussing the wild card.
03:24Who is somebody that may step out of the shadows right now, that's not a focal point player right now
03:29for the Texans on this offense,
03:31that you could see being a wild card for this team?
03:35And I tried to go into, all right, who's got a realistic chance to be this?
03:40Who's got somebody that they will use and will be in position to do so?
03:48And for me, I went with Woody Marks.
03:52Woody Marks is somebody, to me, that could be a wild card because along the lines of you saying you
03:59didn't think they were going to run it as well,
04:01Phil, I don't know if David Montgomery at 29 right now is as much of a lead back, a number
04:08one back, a guy that's just going to get to the bulk of the carries.
04:12I think that thing's going to be split a little bit more.
04:15And one thing that one of the things we know about this offense, and I think CJ's actually pretty good
04:23at it.
04:23We saw some plays out of that with him last year with the back out of the backfield and not
04:29just swing routes.
04:30Woody Marks is a really good receiver for a running back, and they've been talking about using him in that
04:39manner.
04:40And I really, really believe he's going to have a chance to be a big part of the offense, both
04:46in the run game and in the pass game,
04:48and just be a weapon. And see, I don't know if they're going to use weapons that go down the
04:53field that much.
04:54I don't know if those weapons will have the opportunity. But weapons near the ball, check downs, or to get
05:02those.
05:03So I feel like Woody Marks may have a chance to be put in a position to kind of step
05:08out of the shadow.
05:09Absolutely. I mean, even if it's a poor man's version of Jameer Gibbs, if it's, what's Buddy's name that was
05:17tearing it up?
05:18Austin Eckler is somebody that comes to mind like that.
05:19Austin Eckler is a good one. What's Buddy's name that was in New Orleans? Alvin Kamara that's getting a little
05:23old.
05:24If he's a poor man's version of what they were able to do, and I don't mean any disrespect.
05:27I just don't want to put these lofty expectations on the young fella.
05:31If he's just a poor man's version of that, look out now.
05:34Because you're right. They are damn sure going to utilize him. He's going to be on the field.
05:38They're going to utilize him.
05:39They're going to utilize, yeah.
05:40I think the running back being a part of the passing game, especially with his skill set, I think they're
05:48going to potentially use.
05:51I see our guy Cornbread jumping in on YouTube.
05:56He said, it's Noel to me.
05:59And Jalen Noel's another one.
06:01And to be honest, when I've seen Jalen Noel, somebody just texted in with Jalen Noel.
06:06Jalen Noel fits the bill of what I was talking about with Woody in terms of, we heard, I heard
06:14Justin Watson, he was on Texans All Access the other night, say that he is really, in his words, he
06:19is really taking control of that slot position.
06:23Well, in this offense, not only do the running backs out of the backfield in the passing game factor in
06:28a lot, traditionally the slot receiver has factored in a lot.
06:32So if he is taking over that spot, now, the person who started in that spot last year caught about
06:39200 yards worth of balls in Christian Kirk.
06:41But if he's in that spot, then I think he is somebody that has an opportunity to get a lot
06:49of action, because that has been a spot in this offense.
06:54And you can name all of the slot receivers that we've seen in New England in this offense do what
07:00they've done.
07:01He's going to get opportunities.
07:03And I like the potential of what he can do.
07:07So he is somebody that definitely has a chance to be a wild card.
07:11I think you have to nail on the head.
07:12I mean, look, and you add to it, I mean, if you said, if you told me, hey, who's the
07:19one guy that, since they've been here, every practice that you've gone to, they jump off the field?
07:24Yeah, he does.
07:24It would be Jalen Noel.
07:26Like, Tank Dale was that one time.
07:27Tank Dale had that title at one point before he got hurt, right?
07:30We'll see if he can get back to it.
07:31Right now, it's Jalen Noel.
07:33So, whether you're watching one-on-one and you just realize, yeah, he's short, but he's stocky as hell, and
07:37you see how sudden he is, and you see how twitchy he is, or you're watching seven-on-seven, or
07:42you're watching some kind of team drill, he's always where the ball is.
07:47He's going to stand out.
07:48And so, yeah, I agree with you.
07:50You talk about the history of this offense, too.
07:52That position typically has been really, really good.
07:55So, yeah, man, that's a good one.
07:58Next line coming through.
07:59So, Higgins breakout season, Tank Dale comeback player of the year are wild cards.
08:06Wild card is Tank Dale.
08:07If he can return close to form, he's a game changer.
08:11Well, first off, I don't know if the Texans have enough or want to have enough balls in the passing
08:20game to go around to have Higgins have a breakout season and Tank Dale to be the comeback player of
08:26the year.
08:27To go along with what Nico and what Dalton Schultz will probably command.
08:32So, I don't know if you'll get both of those.
08:34But Tank Dale has been a name that has dropped in this conversation.
08:39And listen, man, we'll see.
08:42Again, we've talked about it.
08:43I hope to see him because the kid defied it, man.
08:47I didn't know how he would fare in the NFL.
08:52And then he came right out the gates, to be honest with you, especially starting week three against the Jags.
08:59He really started to go off.
09:01And him and CJ definitely had a connection.
09:05So, you would think, boy, what a steal they've got.
09:07What are they doing in the second and third round with these receivers, getting Nico and Tank like this?
09:12And I'd like to see it.
09:14But, you know, I can't.
09:16I don't know if I can throw Nathaniel in there as one to put as a wild card.
09:23Revin Jordan's one.
09:24Revin's been on there.
09:24Revin Jordan's one.
09:28You're going to say cold caged over the way you was looking at him.
09:30Well, no, I mean, I would.
09:32I'm not afraid to.
09:33I believe my eyes.
09:35I can't wait for you to see it.
09:36I would like some confirmation or some go to hell from you.
09:39But Caden McDonald's one of them defensively on the interior defensive line.
09:43A big run stopper.
09:45If he is mature beyond his years and ready, he could be a big one.
09:48Look, one that we didn't even mention, the top overall pick, Keelan Rutledge.
09:53I mean, if he slides in there and has a breakout year from jump at that center position,
09:59there's nothing and cures the communication issues and all the physicality issues,
10:04and it all starts with him.
10:05I mean, that would be huge.
10:07So there's several to pick from that would be, really, to be honest with you, would impact more.
10:13Revin Jordan's a good one if he could stay healthy.
10:15Come on, man.
10:16There are a couple in that tight end room that fit the definition of wild card kind of coming out
10:24of the shadows
10:24that could change the entire tenor of the offense.
10:28Text line coming through.
10:29Look at show actually using O2 for 20's full government name.
10:33I did say Christian Kirk.
10:35I feel like now I don't know.
10:37I mean, I know we got a lot of people who are P1s that listen every day.
10:43I wonder, when I just roll through, because when I get to going, I can just roll through and just
10:48call him 2 for 20.
10:49I wonder if people sitting there are like, what the hell is he talking about?
10:52Christian Kirk, baby.
10:52Go look at his numbers.
10:53He's older than that Applebee's, man.
10:55Rolling them 2 for 20's.
10:57What he was doing, man.
10:58He was killing it.
11:01Sometimes he stays a little cheap.
11:02Tyler, go 2 for 6.
11:04Sometimes.
11:05I'm sorry.
11:05That's got to be horrible.
11:07He isn't.
11:08Yeah.
11:10He ain't scared to hate an Aggie once he leaves.
11:12Once he leaves.
11:13Once he leaves.
11:14Oh, yeah.
11:14Yeah.
11:15Who is your number one Aggie that you hate?
11:20Kellen Mond.
11:21That's a good question.
11:22Who is that?
11:23Yeah, I meant to put you on the spot.
11:25Who is the number one Aggie that they've left you hate?
11:29We know it ain't Johnny.
11:30I'm not going to have to think on that.
11:31And Kyler Murray doesn't count.
11:34Kyler doesn't count.
11:35No, he's not an Aggie.
11:36Johnny's got to be your number one.
11:37No.
11:39Love, not hate, right?
11:40Oh, love?
11:41Yeah.
11:41You were there when that went down.
11:43I'm just.
11:44Johnny football's a goat.
11:45Yeah.
11:46I'm not going to have to think on that.
11:48I mean, there are many off the top of my head, if at all.
11:51It's got to be Kellen Mond.
11:52It's got to be.
11:52He hated Kellen while he was there.
11:54I mean, the disgust in your voice.
11:55Even though he led it to an orange bowl.
11:58I mean.
11:58How's his NFL career going, by the way?
12:00Why?
12:01Why?
12:01We're talking about him as an Aggie.
12:03You hated him while an Aggie.
12:05I had wide-eyed, scary ass.
12:06You fought against him leading, dragging that team to an orange bowl.
12:11He said wide-eyed, scary ass.
12:12Yeah, I'm not a fan of.
12:13Clearly it's Kellen Mond.
12:14Yeah, I'm not a fan of the quarterback of my team being scared ishless all the time
12:18whenever he's under center, you know?
12:20I'm not a fan of that.
12:23Yeah.
12:23I'm trying to think.
12:24Who else?
12:24I mean.
12:24I was thinking about that.
12:26I mean, you've got to really dislike, but he's not even a fan.
12:29He's a nine-factor old buddy that was smoking weed in the locker room at South Carolina.
12:34That's just putting that scar on your squad is.
12:37Yeah, like, I'll be honest, Joel Embiid's kind of been hard for me as a Kansas fan to
12:42just keep rolling with.
12:43Yeah.
12:44He's kind of, he's kind of, he's kind of, he's kind of been tough.
12:48Kenyon Green's probably out there.
12:50Oh, wow.
12:51Good one.
12:52Yeah, that is it.
12:52Soft-ass waste of a draft pick.
12:54I mean, seriously.
12:56I didn't even think, how did I forget about that?
12:58Where is he now?
12:59I mean, he.
13:00Where's Kenyon?
13:01Where is he?
13:01Somewhere.
13:02Go ahead, Clint.
13:03Whatever you mean.
13:03I mean, no, I forgot about that.
13:06It's not even the flop of an NFL draft pick as much as it is, boy, it just happened to
13:12our team.
13:13I mean, all of it.
13:15Well, I mean, God.
13:16Yeah, it might be Kenyon.
13:18I'll keep thinking on it, but Kenyon's the leader in the clubhouse right now.
13:22Is he still with the Eagles?
13:23He said he signed with the, last I see is he signed September 30th, 2025.
13:28He signed with the Ravens practice squad.
13:30It's the last thing it says.
13:32Probably the last we'll see of him.
13:33Wow.
13:33You got to be hot at that.
13:35I mean, I'm sorry.
13:37Like, again, Nick has done a lot of great things.
13:41We just talked about it.
13:42He finds Nico in the third round, a top 10 receiver in the league.
13:47He finds Tank down.
13:48Now, Tank has had injuries, but when he's been on the field, he's been really, really good.
13:52And he has really found some gems in there.
13:58I mean, what?
13:59That was a mess.
14:01You think?
14:02I mean, he's not even in the league.
14:04I'm not typically.
14:05I know Landry.
14:05Like, he's not in the league.
14:07Well, Landry used to do it all the time of go back and look at drafts of, like, who was
14:10still on the board when so-and-so got drafted.
14:13No, I know Kyle Hamilton was a pick behind him.
14:16That's it right there.
14:17That's it right there.
14:19I mean, I'm typically one.
14:21It's like, yeah, but that's kind of, I mean, come on, man.
14:22You didn't know.
14:23I mean, boy, that one hurts.
14:25And also Zion Johnson, the other guard, the Chargers who was there, the Browns scooped up.
14:33Man, that's a good one.
14:34Kenyon Green.
14:35But that's tough.
14:36That's tough.
14:37Yeah, that's.
14:38Not only in Aggie, but a Tascacita zone.
14:41I know it, man.
14:42Parents used to come to training camp and stuff.
14:46Back when he looked decent at football.
14:47I hope he gets it.
14:48I hope he gets on.
14:49Boy, we thought, I thought, man, the Eagles will fix him.
14:51They'll fix him, boy.
14:52They'll fix him.
