00:00Vice President Vance here to talk a little bit about what is in the Iran deal, the great peace
00:04deal that the President of the United States made last night. Number one, what this deal means is
00:09that the Straits of Hormuz are open immediately. You're already seeing oil and gas prices come down
00:14just over the past 24 hours. Number two, it ensures that Iran will never have a nuclear
00:19weapon. And we have to back up for a second and appreciate that what the President has done
00:23is completely decimated Iran's nuclear program. Now, this deal really has two pathways. On the one
00:30hand, if the Iranians make the long-term commitments never to rebuild, then they're going to be welcomed
00:35into the world economy. If, on the other hand, they try to rebuild that nuclear program, they're never
00:41going to have the resources in order to do so. So it's a win-win for the American people. We
00:46ensure
00:46Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon either way. And now it's really up to the Iranians. Over the next
00:51few months, we're going to see if they're serious about dismantling that program for the long term.
00:56If they do, the President has said, we want their country to be successful. But what we know is
01:01that our country is successful, thanks to great presidential leadership and a lot of good decisions.
01:06We've had a fantastic relationship. We've worked on many deals together. I'm very happy to
01:14say very signed. The deal's all signed. And the strain is already partially opened. As you know,
01:21they're doing a little hunting for a couple of mines that they've already found. But it's
01:29essentially ships are starting to go out. Now on Friday, it'll be completely opened.
01:34We got along very well with Iran. It's a different set of leaders. As you know, the first set is
01:40gone.
01:41The second set is gone. And we found the third set to be very smart, strong, very smart. But
01:48we ended up making a deal. I felt badly that we had to go back on the attack for two
01:54nights. And I
01:55thought a third. But we made it before that happened. But I think a lot of great things are
02:01going to happen in the Middle East right now. And very importantly, the oil is plummeting down.
02:06And the stock market is shooting up like a rocket today, like record kind of numbers.
02:14And the oil has taken its biggest plunge. And we're into the low numbers. Not quite back yet,
02:22Kevin, to the extent. But we're getting close to the numbers we were before it all started. And
02:28the main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. They fully agreed to that with strong
02:34policing powers. And they won't have a nuclear weapon, which is what it was all about, because
02:40they probably would have used it if they had it. So we had two big moments when they terminated the
02:47JCPOA. That was the Obama deal, the Barack Hussein Obama deal. And when I terminated that, it was very
02:54important because it was a road to a nuclear weapon. It was a horrible deal for the United
02:59States. It was a deal where billions of dollars was given to Iran. It was a deal where 1.7
03:06billion
03:07in cash was put on a Boeing 7, well, not a 7, 757, I guess, right? But it was put
03:15on a big,
03:16beautiful Boeing 757. They needed a Boeing 747, to be honest with you, because it was a lot of cash.
03:221.7 billion was taken out of the banks and given to Iran. And on top of that, tens of
03:29billions of
03:30dollars was paid. So they tried to bribe them to make a deal, and that didn't work. It never works.
03:38And we've done a great job. And hopefully it's going to be a good relationship, and we're going
03:43to get along. And if we don't, we go back to where we started. But I don't think that's going
03:49to be
03:49necessary. The Iran deal that we made is going to bring a lot of success to the world because
03:59the oil was really clogged up there for a while. He would call me on occasion, say,
04:03come on, please, let's go to the oil prices. But the oil is coming way down. So I'm very honored
04:08by it.
04:10I want to thank you for your help.
