00:00I used to survive on borrowing money from friends, from relatives, until they got tired.
00:08The shame, the pain and the frustration was just too much for me.
00:13Each and every night I used to tell God that please take me back home.
00:18I just want to die. This world is wicked.
00:30My name is Simon Peter from the country of Malawi.
00:35I am actually a nurse as a profession and I actually completed my college three years ago.
00:44Believing that my life was going to change for the better.
00:48But my disappointment, life has had to take an unexpected turn that pained me so much.
00:58I had applied to countries, companies and organizations, hoping that maybe at least one company or one organization would call me for even a local or volunteering position at any company or clinic.
01:18And to my greatest disappointment on that matter, I never received any response from any of them.
01:25So I was so much frustrated.
01:28I was so much disappointed because I am a child of God who believes that everything is possible with God.
01:36But to my side, things seem to be different.
01:41Now, after struggling for a full whole year, I finally managed to secure a local position at a certain company as a local nurse.
01:51If you are a Malawian health professional, you would agree with me that it is extremely difficult for somebody to survive on a local position.
02:03You cannot fully afford to pay for your bills, for your rental bills, for your water bills, for your electricity bills.
02:15And one of you, being a local nurse in Malawi attracts a lot of disrespect, a lot of rejections and a lot of disappointments, especially from your colleagues and even from the supporting staff.
02:33And make matters worse even from the clients or patients should they know that you are a local nurse.
02:40So life was so much fascinating.
02:44Meanwhile, my colleagues, I would say my classmates, whom we had graduated together and had attended together the government interviews,
02:55had been recruited into the government.
02:58While I was always left out.
03:01I was left out three times in a row without being employed.
03:06Those candidates or students who had graduated far behind me had already secured their permanent positions in different companies, organizations, and even in the government.
03:21The pain was just too much for me.
03:24So after two years, when I was working, after jumping from one company to another, one company to another, working as either a volunteer or a local nurse,
03:36after that two years, I finally encountered a sitting heartbreak when I was working at this company whereby somebody had to do something wrong.
03:48It was a permanent nurse on that company.
03:50And then, because he was so scared, he told the boss that it was me who actually did it.
03:58So the boss was so much angry and he fired me.
04:01That's how I lost my position as a local nurse at that company.
04:06And this was two years.
04:07So this was sent my problem even far, even deeper to the extent that I couldn't pay for my rental bills.
04:15I couldn't pay completely for my electrical bills or water bills and everything.
04:21I used to survive on borrowing money from friends, from relatives until they got tired.
04:30So I understood them that they are human beings and human beings, they get tired at some point in time.
04:39But this understanding still deepened my pain even more.
04:43So I had to move in with my aunt because I had nowhere to go.
04:47I had no fee to feed for myself.
04:50I had no money.
04:51I am a big guy who is supposed to be living on his own.
04:55So the shame, the pain and the frustration was just too much for me.
05:01And then, despite the fact that I am a prayer warrior, I would say the one who likes praying, who likes fasting the most, but nothing seemed to change.
05:12Different men of God prayed for me.
05:16They laid their hands on me.
05:18I paid them fees.
05:20I paid my tithe to many men of God, but nothing seemed to change.
05:26Heaven seemed to be silent.
05:28I was like a madman heading towards a closed door operating under a closed heaven.
05:34Nothing seemed to work for me.
05:37Life was just extremely difficult for me.
05:40Each and every night I used to tell God that, please take me back home.
05:45I just want to die.
05:46This world is wicked.
05:48I pray, but nothing is moving.
05:50Nothing is working.
05:52I even had countless number of dreams indicating that somebody in my childhood kissed me so that I should never find fulfillment in life.
06:04So that wastes my pain even more.
06:07Just in addition, some men of God had to give up on me because they were also tired due to my continual coming with the same petition again and again.
06:19So you can see that this guy is now spiritually exhausted and emotionally straight because nothing seemed to work at all.
06:30Then God had other plans.
06:33God is so great.
06:35I just happened to be scrolling through YouTube videos.
06:41Then I just happened to bump into a video from Goza TV and I intended to skip it.
06:50But something had to push me back to that video.
06:53And as I began watching that video whereby Brother Chris was ministering, something led me further into the comment section where I found a link that suggested that should you have a prayer request, just click on the link and just view that application form.
07:11I clicked that link and then it redirected me to that application form.
07:15I remember myself scrolling down through that application form up to the bottom to see if there is anywhere written payment details.
07:27Okay.
07:27So when I found out that there is nothing, nowhere else written payment details, I began thinking, this is God.
07:36I think God is leading me somewhere.
07:39So I had to fill the prayer request form and submitted it, hoping to receive a response, but not expecting it.
07:48But from that day, just four, five days passed, I received an email, an invitation link to a Zoom meeting, an interactive prayer session, and that was in August.
08:03When I received that email, I was so much surprised because I felt so much honored.
08:08I opened the details.
08:10I also scrolled from head to toe to find if there is anywhere written payment details.
08:16As you know, we are living in the world whereby we have most men of God and women of God who are, where they preach God, there they might be the little servants of God, but many are after money.
08:30But this wasn't the case with this form.
08:33So I come that Saturday, August, the first week, I participated in our first interactive prayer service with Brother Chris, the man of God.
08:43Then I participated the next month, which was the month of October.
08:50And as the service was going to an end, Brother Chris said, now that we are finishing, if you have any question, the door is open.
09:01Ask me any question regarding this topic.
09:04The topic was about the service was the encouragement service.
09:08So I said, well, Lord, this is my opportunity.
09:10I went back to the email and I had to fill the prayer request form.
09:16And now this time I had to pour out the whole of my heart into that prayer request.
09:23I was hoping to receive a response, but not expecting it.
09:27But just three days from there, I was so surprised that I had to receive an invitation for one-on-one call with the man of God, Brother Chris Tong.
09:39I was so amazed receiving a call from a man of God who I had grown up, washing him, ministering powerfully and mightily under the anointing of the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua.
09:54It was just overwhelming, the excitement.
09:58The call came through after two days, and this was October.
10:05When I saw that call, people of God, everybody who is watching me, I began trembling.
10:12I began shaking.
10:14I was drowning in sweat all over my face because it felt so unreal.
10:20He spoke to me with such kindness and compassion that I felt wanted and important, that I felt valued, something that has never happened in my entire life.
10:35He said something in poverty, something so in poverty that I'll never forget.
10:40Because in my prayer request, I told him that many men of God had prayed for me, I had given them tithes, and many have demanded tithes and offerings, they have demanded a seat so that I should receive a blessing.
10:54And the man of God emphasized the fact that you should never ever in your life pay any man of God for them to pray for you so that you should receive a blessing.
11:09That these gifts of God are freely given, and yes, they should be freely given.
11:16That God blesses us, not because we give him gifts or because we give him money, but because he loves us.
11:24And because of that love that he shows us, we should show the same love to others by giving them these three gifts freely.
11:32That's what he taught me.
11:34Another advice that he gave me, the second, and he said, you should never in your entire life believe that you are cased.
11:42Those dreams were just from the kingdoms of darkness to manipulate you, to cause you fear.
11:49He said that Satan feeds on a soul that is so scared.
11:56And Satan was bringing those dreams about you being cased so that he should instill in you fear, so that he should take advantage of you.
12:07So when he spoke all those ways, they encouraged me so much.
12:12So it's like his approach was first of all to change my entire mindset on how I should approach God.
12:18And then secondary, he prayed for me.
12:20Just after three, not three, but one month and some weeks, two or three, I received a call from this big international organization,
12:32which has got its base in the United States of America, and it has got a lot of, it has got its branches in some parts of Africa, including Malawi.
12:42When I received this call, when I received this call, they said, we're inviting you for an interview.
12:48The moment I received this call, I knew that my life is never going to be the same.
12:54Because I believed that the prayers that Brother Chris offered for me have opened this door.
13:02For your own information, this organization, this was the first time I had to know about this organization,
13:09because I had completely forgotten when I had applied for this organization.
13:14But one thing was clear, that I had applied for this organization way back, that I couldn't even remember.
13:22So the prayers that Brother Chris offered, they just opened that door.
13:27That's when I knew, you know, when things are about to happen in your life, everything just testifies.
13:33Everything just tells you that this is it.
13:36I'm opening your door.
13:37I prepared for the interviews, and I went to the interviews, confidentially, feeling the energy that the Lord is with me.
13:47I entered the interview room, feeling the Lord's presence, believing that I'm going to kill it.
13:54Unlike my previous interviews, the moment I received a call of inviting me for an interview, I could start trembling right away.
14:03And entering those interview rooms, I could still tremble.
14:07Visibly.
14:08And even when I'm telling them I'm a hardworking nurse, I'm a dependable nurse, and I'm a confident nurse,
14:14my ways would always contradict the way I always looked.
14:20Things were not okay.
14:21But this time I entered this interview room, confidentially, feeling the anointing of God,
14:27smiling, looking at all the faces of those interviewers.
14:32It was a panel of about five to six interviewers.
14:36When they began asking me questions, I responded to each and every question confidently and collectively.
14:44That to some extent, I feel that maybe they would suspect that somebody had to teach this guy about this interview.
14:51Why is he responding to every question collectively?
14:54Their smiles, their confidence in me encouraged me so much, and I could see the job offer later on all their faces.
15:04And I left that room believing that I've gotten that job.
15:07I reached home, and around 6 p.m., I received a call from one of my referees telling me that I've just received a reference letter from this organization,
15:19Beta Cure.
15:21They want me to fill your referees form.
15:24So you know that if you went for an interview and then immediately a company, that company organization begins sending their referees forms to your referees,
15:37that should tell you that they are strongly considering you for a possible hire.
15:42And that's when I knew that now my life has changed at Tina Land.
15:46And now, people of God, it was in the month of November, after those interviews, when I was busy in my bed scrolling through my phone,
15:56and then a message, an email, labeled a job offer later.
16:01When I saw it, I began trembling again.
16:05I just knew that this is it.
16:07I didn't open that email, jumped out of the bed, threw myself on the ground, rode on the ground,
16:13and worshipped God and thanked Him because of what He had done.
16:17So now, that is actually the job offer later that I'm talking about that popped up while I was busy scrolling through my phone.
16:26What surprised me even more was the compensation plan or the salary, which was double way beyond my glade.
16:36I actually began working in December 1.
16:38And to tell you the truth, people of God, it's an amazing place.
16:42This organization is a place that fits what defines me.
16:47It's a Christian organization that is so much serious with prayer, serious with the salvation of people.
16:53So, they minister to people.
16:55It's actually an orthopedic and reconstructive surgery for PDR.
17:00It offers those services, orthopedic and reconstructive surgery.
17:04So, it's a place whereby I'm always proud of my God's work.
17:10I'm always respected.
17:12Everybody is so kind.
17:14Everybody is so loving.
17:15It's so amazing.
17:16And I just say, thank you, Jesus, for what you have done for me.
17:21And finally, I would just say, I would say like David, the Lord has done a great thing for me.
17:28He has restored my portions like the streams in the Negev desert.
17:35And now, I am so glad.
17:37So, I would advise you that keep on praying.
17:40As you keep on interacting with Brother Chris and the whole team, keep on believing that God is going to change your life.
17:48Another advice is stick to God's heart TV.
17:52You are not here in vain.
17:55The data, the energy, the time you are spending here is never in vain.
18:01You're going to leap the flows of whatever you are sowing right now.
18:05And another advice is, I'll give you the advice that Brother Chris taught me.
18:11That you should never in your life pay somebody for them to pray for you so that you should receive a breakthrough or a blessing from God.
18:23And never believe that you are cased because everybody who has Jesus Christ in them, they are never cased.
18:30Believe you me, you are looking for a job.
18:32You're going to find that job.
18:34Just keep on believing.
18:36Have the right mindset when you approach God.
18:39Believing that He gives you gifts because He loves you.
18:43And that's what He wants you and I to understand.
