00:05I've done the majority of the driving, so it's usually been a lot of podcasts and lo-fi beats right now.

00:30What's up? This is Jake with Reflections. We're on tour with Silent Planet and Invent Animate on the Bloom in Heaven 2 tour.
00:48And we're celebrating our color clear 10-year anniversary, which has been awesome.
00:53And we're here to check out our van in all its glory.
00:58Here we have our passenger seats. Great storage.
01:03We have a nice mask down to keep the carpets clean.
01:08So, driving with us is kind of a at-will type of thing.
01:13I do a lot of the driving just because I'm good at driving for a long time.
01:19And then we have Elliot and Josh who also help with driving.
01:22Occasionally we'll bring a merch guy with us. It helps.
01:24It's just kind of whoever's feeling it.
01:26And we usually have a really good schedule.
01:28Since we are in a van, we do hotels almost every night that we can.
01:32So everyone gets a free breakfast, showers, and all that stuff.
01:35So, usually we have about an hour and a half drive at night.
01:38And then we get to our hotel, finish it out in the morning if we can.
01:41Otherwise, we'll just drive through and truck stop it probably.
01:44Well, all right. Music stuff, for me, I really like listening to ambient, kind of lo-fi stuff.
01:50I listen to Drip 133, Kajak, Grief, just a lot of those guys.
01:57We do listen to a bunch of podcasts too.
01:59I've done the majority of the driving, so it's usually been a lot of podcasts and lo-fi beats right now.
02:06But Elliot likes listening to a lot of grunge and black metal.
02:11So we get a good variety cooking.
02:13Everyone's laughing and having fun too.
02:15We'll just watch videos sometimes to scroll reels.
02:18Just complete nonsense.
02:20So, pretty great.

03:03Again, because usually we're doing hotels.
03:05We've got a couple long drives.
03:07So, you know, sleep sitting up.
03:10Sometimes, even myself, I'll do this.
03:13Even though we have the short ride, we'll just put someone in back and fill it up with pillows and stuff.
03:17If you just really need to lay down.
03:20But, yeah.
03:21Everyone's kind of, you might find some stuff on your seats.
03:24You know?
03:27Some shoes, maybe?
03:29Oh, that's a camera.
03:30Here we got the Crocs and socks.
03:32So we're going to talk about tour hacks.
03:34Shower shoes.
03:35Keep the feet clean.
03:37Pick them up at a truck stop.
03:38And, again, instead of trying to keep your laundry clean all the time when it comes to, like, you know, your drawers and your socks.
03:44Just toss them.
03:45Get a nice pack of these for everybody.
03:48Ten, twenty bucks.
03:49Everyone's nice and fresh.
03:50Smelling good.
03:51We like it fresh.
03:52So, we're a six crew right now.
03:57But sometimes we're five because one of our guys is actually crew with Silent Planet.
04:02And so he'll ride with them some nights when we don't really need them for the drive.
04:06And then, yeah, we do a driver, shotgun.
04:09And when we got five, we can just do laying down here.
04:12And, again, if we got six, two people will either have to sit or someone can scrunch up in the back.
04:20It's a good deal.
04:22To be honest, I, okay, so when we first got our vans like this, I used to always try and go for the back seat because I assumed that's where you're going to have the most room.
04:31Another tour hack is this seat here is actually the most room because you got the doors and you got all this.
04:37Because there, you got your windows so your feet can scrunch them and wind up buckling your knees.
04:41This is one of the best spots to actually get flat in a van.
04:45Nowadays, I generally gravitate towards the driver's seat.
04:49Elliot, Josh, usually gravitate towards here.
04:52And then it's a free-for-all, wherever the backpack goes.
04:57Back of the van.
05:00Blankets and water.
05:02Now, you remove some of this stuff.
05:04You can kind of see here what I'm talking about.
05:11So, just barely enough room to get you a little pillow.
05:17Be rough.
05:18But, you know, again, hopefully it's just a once-in-a-while thing.
05:22And if you got the extended cab, this is even more room, so it's way better.
05:25But I was worried this wouldn't fit in my garage.
05:28So, bungees.
05:30You never know.
05:31Everyone gets a little smelly sometimes.
05:35Gotta keep it clean.
05:36This I haven't had to use yet.
05:38But, you know, again.
05:40And get AAA or something.
05:45Gotta have this.
05:47You never know when you're gonna need this for your trailer or something.
05:51Wiper fluid.
05:53Wiper fluid for sure.
05:54And we got a little tool kit here.
05:57Just all basic stuff.
06:01Gloves.
06:02Get one of these.
06:03In case you gotta do something serious with your tire or something.
06:06Take a bench out.
06:07And this is actually just a banner that we have.
06:10But Invent and Silent Planet are doing the video walk.
06:13So, just a backup banner for us.
06:15In case we gotta do that one day.
06:19So, we have music coming out probably next year.
06:21That's gonna be awesome.
06:22We've been working on it for like five years.
06:24All while we're putting these EPs out and stuff.
06:26Really looking forward to sharing that.
