00:12at the exciting new electric car Sherry Exceed Steri ES, which will be known in Europe as the
00:17Exelantis. This fully electric midsize sedan, which was launched on the Chinese market at the
00:25end of 2023, is an impressive example of the rapid development in electromobility.
00:33With a starting price of around 29,000 euros, the Exceed makes a clear statement that quality
00:38and innovation can also be affordable. This model is currently available in China, but is also expected
00:48to be seen on European roads from 2025. The name change for the European market results from the
00:54similarity to well-known Kia models, which is why Exelantis was chosen to avoid confusion.
01:03The Steri ES is a true space miracle with dimensions of 4.49 meters long,
01:091.97 meters wide and 1.46 meters high. The generous wheelbase of 3 meters ensures a comfortable feeling
01:18of space in the interior. Buyers can choose from five different variants, four of which are equipped
01:24with one motor, while the top model comes with two motors and thus offers all-wheel drive.
01:32The technological diversity is particularly evident in the choice between 400-volt and 800-volt platforms.
01:39The latter allows for extremely fast charging.
01:41Up to 200 kilometers of range can be added in just 10 minutes, while the battery can be charged to 80%
01:49in 20 minutes. The power of the motors varies depending on the model and is 185 kilowatts or 230 kilowatts.
02:01The all-wheel drive model impresses with an acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers in just 3.7 seconds.
02:07EXT also offers a choice of battery sizes, ranging from 60.7 to 97.7 kilowatt-hours.
02:19These capacities enable ranges of 550 to 905 kilometers based on the Chinese CLTC cycle.
02:27However, for the WLTP standard commonly used in Europe, a more realistic range of around 10 to 15%
02:34less should be expected. Following the sedan, another model is already in the planning stages,
02:40namely the XSEDE STERA ET, which will be known as the EXCELLENTIX ET in Europe.
02:47This all-electric SUV features a distinctive design with a longer wheelbase from the side,
02:52while the rear view bears some resemblance to the Porsche Macan.
02:54This model is also expected to be available in China before the end of the year and is expected
03:03to be available in Germany from 2025. With the XSEDE STERA I or XLANTIS,
03:09Sherry is making a clear statement in the electric midsize sedan segment and is expanding its range
03:14with an SUV model that is likely to continue to shake up the market.
