00:00Hi, I'm Laura Reid, the Deputy Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post and here's a look at what's coming up in the week ahead.
00:07The funeral of the Duchess of Kent will take place at Westminster Cathedral on September 16th.
00:13It will be the first Catholic funeral service held for a member of the royal family in modern British history
00:18and in a significant move the King, the head of the Church of England, will attend.
00:22Yorkshire-born Catherine, the wife of the late Queen's cousin, the Duke of Kent, died peacefully at home at the age of 92.
00:31In other news, the Sky Arts Awards returned to London's Roundhouse on September 16th,
00:37recognising cultural genres including classical music, comedy, dance, film, literature, poetry, opera, popular music, television, theatre and visual arts.
00:47Leeds-based Opera North has made the shortlist as well as bands are based Lung, nominated in the theatre category for their bold and verbatim musical, The Children's Inquiry,
00:56while Yorkshire-filmed Netflix series Adolescence is nominated in the television category.
01:03Winners will be announced at the ceremony which is being hosted by Bill Bailey.
01:08The King is to host the US President Donald Trump and his wife at Windsor Castle from September 17th to 19th,
01:17and there will be a ceremonial welcome and a state banquet.
01:21The event will be Mr Trump's second state visit to the UK, which is an unprecedented gesture towards the US President.
01:27He has previously had a state visit in 2019. His first trip to the UK saw thousands of people turn out in the streets of London in response.
01:37And protests are also expected to take place this week too.
01:42And finally, the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show is one of the most highly anticipated events in the gardening calendar and it welcomes up to 30,000 visitors over three days.
01:53This year it is taking place from the 19th to the 21st of September in the grounds of Newby Hall.
01:59The show will feature live talks and demonstrations and a range of experts and ambassadors from across the horticultural spectrum,
02:07as well as a new Little Rangers zone for children.
