00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston-Bertz and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester
00:03talking to people about safety online. And that's because the government are looking at introducing a new act
00:09that would require age verification for people accessing sensitive content online
00:13in an attempt to try and cut down on the harmful materials that young people in particular see on the internet.
00:19If they have your ID information, fraudulent behaviour, like people can take out loans in your names,
00:24you're not meant to give out your passport information.
00:26Yeah, it's got to be controlled because we are in this generation of young men thinking it's okay
00:35to be a bit disrespectful to women.
00:38I think everyone needs to grow up, get over it. We're overexposed to everything.
00:45Raise your children better and they'll have better views. Them experiencing things and taking in
00:51information isn't the issue. It's how you teach them to like process that information.
