00:00Well, the Tasmanian Electoral Commission has called the last unknown seat in the Tasmanian
00:06election. That's the last seat in Bass that was unknown. And they've called it for independent
00:12George Razay. He's a councillor at the City of Launceston Council and also a longstanding
00:16doctor up in Launceston. So Labor's Jess Green has also claimed a seat in Bass too.
00:23Mr Razay beat out former federal MP Jeff Lyons. And that brings the total count for the
00:29Tasmanian election, which was two weeks ago today. Liberals are on 14 seats. Labor have
00:3510. The Greens have five. Independents have five. And the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers have
00:40one. So it means that the results for the major parties, they have the exact same amount of
00:45seats as they did before the state election and the SNAP election was called. Big question
00:52on everyone's mind is what does this mean for who forms government and who holds power down
00:56here in Tasmania. So both the Liberal leader, Jeremy Rockcliffe, and the Labor leader, Dean
01:01Winter, have been talking with independents and crossbenchers about trying to gain their
01:05support. Now, the Liberals need support from four crossbenchers to remain in government.
01:12Yesterday, MP Craig Garland said he would not support the Liberals and he would actually support
01:17another no-confidence motion in Premier Jeremy Rockcliffe. And that's what brought about this
01:21SNAP election in the first place. And then Labor would need the support of the Greens. So the
01:25five Greens plus three other independents in order to form government. So still a few questions
01:31for the Tasmanian election.
