00:00If Yankee fans claim to be as smart as they are, okay, if you are going to spend the money
00:07to sit in the front row in left field right behind the wall, you better know what a home run
00:16is and
00:17what a home run isn't. Because you trying to go out there and reach over and bobble the damn ball
00:25to begin, you didn't even catch it. You bobbled it, all sorts of forearms. You caught nothing.
00:33And then you caused a bigger issue because had that ball bounced off the wall, which is what it
00:39was going to do, Craig, then anything was possible because that left fielder had no idea what was
00:46going on anywhere for Tampa Bay. So Yankee fans be smarter. And do not tell me that Manny
00:56Machado's fly out last night was somehow would have been out in 19 of 30 some odd ballpark.
01:04What difference does that make? Because the one ballpark it needed to be out in,
01:09he didn't hit it far enough for it to go out. So I don't care if it was 19 other
01:16ballparks that he
01:17wasn't playing in, it would have been a home run, Craig. That is the most ridiculous stat I have
01:23ever heard in my life. Man up and hit it flush and get it out of your ballpark or shut
01:31up. It wasn't
01:32like a robbing of a home run. I didn't go 19 feet over the wall. It was a fly out,
01:39Craig. And we're
01:40all trying to make it seem like it was more than what it is. Give me a break. Wow, you're
01:46fired up
01:47about this. You're saying the most fired up you've been annoyed the living crap. The guy I mean, what
01:53is like really Yankee guys fan? First of all, he had to be escorted out of the Yankee stadium after
01:59that. Well, that's not the well, that's not the first time. Well, you know, our our our our graphics
02:07our graphics coordinator, Frankie Bartunik thinks that guy's a hero right now. There's no doubt about
02:11that. He loves that guy. Whoever that guy is, it's getting kicked off the wall. There's no telling
02:16where it goes, Craig. There's no that's true. It goes. That's that's true. Look, I can't argue
02:22with anything that you're saying. I think you're totally on board there. Yankees. Oh, and three
02:28one thirty average one point seven runs per game for thirty one OPS and a two five to earn run
02:35average
02:35against Toronto last year. One and three two fifty batting average four point eight runs a game
02:42seven thirty one OPS ERA eight point four seven last season against the Toronto Blue Jays. Naturally
02:49no Garrett Cole. You know, a big part of that conversation. Let me share with you, by the way,
02:55the left fielder, a little bit of information on the on the left fielder for the Rays. So his name
03:01is very interesting. His name is Victor Mesa Jr. Now, Victor Mesa Jr., for those of you who
03:09may not be familiar, has a brother. His name is Victor Victor Mesa. And his father's name
03:18is also Victor Mesa. And those two players, Joe, came over from Cuba several years ago and
03:25ironically signed as international free agents with the Miami Marlins. And at the time, it was
03:33thought that Victor Victor Mesa was the prize of that international market. And so the Marlins took
03:40him. The Marlins took Victor Victor Mesa, gave him four million dollars or whatever it was with the
03:46idea of can you please just take our brother along for the ride? And can you please just put him
03:52in the
03:52organization? His name was Victor Mesa Jr., the left fielder that you saw last night for Tampa Bay.
03:59It didn't work. And by the way, the agent for those two guys, the singer, Mark Anthony, that was
04:05this agent at the time. Crazy story here. And so Victor Mesa Jr. didn't work out with Miami. They
04:12DFA'd him and he ends up playing with Tampa Bay. He's probably the MVP of their series. But really
04:18good story. Now, your next question for me is, well, Craig, look, what happened to Victor Victor
04:23Mesa, right? What happened to that guy? Yeah. So Victor Victor Mesa took the money and ran, quit
04:29baseball a few years ago. Just was like, I'm done. Took his four million dollars, never played above
04:35double A. That was it. Done. The last time we saw him, he was on the beach in the Bahamas
04:40holding those
04:40pigs that they have there. You know, like the live pigs running around. That was the last photo we saw.
04:45Victor Victor Mesa, one of the epic busts of international free agency.
