00:06The earliest forms of monograms that we know of date back to
00:10coins emblazoned with initials of kings or conquerors.
00:13Then in the Middle Ages, artisans monogrammed items that they made,
00:16but they didn't become widely popular until the Victorian era.
00:20So no, technically, monograms aren't Southern.
00:23But if you try telling a Southerner that, be prepared for a fight.
