00:11Hello there, very good evening to you.
00:14Matric 4 in the league.
00:16It's a win here, we'll push them on to seven.
00:23Denfica get this game in Lisbon on their way,
00:26playing left to right in their famous red and white colours.
00:30Straight away Samuel Suarez launching it long into the Estoril half.
00:37Four inches on the right and Medrano on the left.
00:41And it's Medrano's throw-in into the area.
00:44Threw it away by Paglidis, back doing his work defensively.
00:51Kingui couldn't find a teammate.
00:53Break could be on here for Benfica now.
00:55Crestiani has space to run into.
00:57Paglidis in the centre.
00:59Sudakov making strides into the area as well.
01:02Here is Georgi Sudakov.
01:05Paglidis got a hat-trick in that match.
01:10That's his header.
01:11It's a good one as well to find Sudakov.
01:19Paglidis once more.
01:21Just flipping one through there, couldn't find a teammate.
01:25Just tried to find Barrero inside the area there.
01:29Unable to do so.
01:30A chance of a break here now for Estoril.
01:34Rican Sanchez on the far side.
01:37Support there from Lakshmi Gant.
01:40Straight into the arms of Suarez.
01:46It was an ambitious effort from Andre.
01:48Nine years at Estoril.
01:51First as a player and then as a manager.
01:55There's Crestiani.
01:58Dahl.
02:00Pavlidis.
02:02Another little chip from Pavlidis.
02:04It was a good header away by Andreu.
02:09Kerstiani.
02:11Therene.
02:13They're waiting in the middle.
02:16Just a fraction too high for Pavlidis.
02:21Kerstiani shot.
02:24Wasn't too far away.
02:27You can see what he was trying to do,
02:29just to curl one into that top corner.
02:32Long way.
02:37Prostiani now, taking on, look at Sanchez.
02:42He managed to get the cross in, but Ferro with the header away.
02:46Oh, it's off the crossbar, so close.
02:49Rescue for Esteril.
02:53Touch off the back of Stelio Sandriou,
02:57taking it onto the crossbar.
02:59Now for the first corner of the game.
03:15Sudakov deep towards the back post.
03:18Cleared away by Lakshmi Kant.
03:23Sudakov the taker, towards the near post.
03:26Oh, Longley almost got a touch,
03:28and Prostiani didn't make clean contact there.
03:37Zheka, under pressure, loses out.
03:40Prostiani, Barrero on the outside.
03:42Prostiani instead goes into Sudakov,
03:45the shot from Sudakov, he was leaning back as he hit it.
03:48Panic whatsoever.
03:50There's Begarawi, trying to out-race him there.
03:57Dahl still going here, Sudakov, flag stays down for the moment.
04:03Now it's gone up.
04:10Oh, I'm not so sure, actually.
04:12When you look at that, it did look like Ismail Seah.
04:15Long way on the penalty spot there.
04:18Didn't reach him, nearly did.
04:20Not as good a delivery that time from Sudakovic.
04:24And the last eight, last season as well.
04:27So, if you carry the two seasons together,
04:30eleven games without a win.
04:32Here's Prostiani.
04:35Barr.
04:37And Arroggio with the shot, and it was always curling wide.
04:47The only time Estoril had a positive result at this venue
04:53was in the League Cup, the test of the Liga a couple years ago.
04:55And Tomas Arroggio there as one of the players
04:58who missed a penalty for Benfica that night.
05:06All done that, it's been plain sailing for Benfica
05:10against Estoril traditionally.
05:16Both games last season.
05:28in Santa Clara, it's Ben in the chair who's going off.
05:35After that collision.
05:41What a welcome.
05:48Now Long way.
05:51Pellini.
05:53And then behind for Barr.
05:55Just couldn't direct it on target.
05:59The idea was good.
06:04It's hard to stretch for...
06:07Did try and head it towards...
06:12Long way, just helping it on to Dahl.
06:17Pellini.
06:22Pellini.
06:23Again, looking for that ball for the run of Barr.
06:26It was overplayed that time.
06:28Estoril and Benfica have been a little bit predictable.
06:31The exception maybe of Dahl, who's done his bit.
06:36Pellini now.
06:39It's too close to the goalkeeper.
06:41I wonder will we see Sheldoruk in the second half.
06:43Who we've talked about as a potential player to leave.
06:47But he's on the bench too.
06:49You never know.
06:54Pavlidis.
06:56Sudikov for Prestiani.
06:59Prestiani's cross again.
07:00Just a fraction too high for Pavlidis.
07:03Gets the shot away this time though.
07:05And breaks the deadlock.
07:06He only needs half a chance.
07:10He's a goal scoring machine.
07:14And Vangelis Pavlidis makes it 1-0.
07:20Already his fifth league goal of the season, having scored a hat-trick against Casafia.
07:26He's on hot form.
07:28That is his first opportunity in this game.
07:31Bit of an element of fortune about the way it fell to him from that missed kick and then a
07:36deflection.
07:37But that's all he needed.
07:39One turn.
07:41One shot.
07:44And the opening goal.
07:45Oh, the game.
07:47Bit of one.
07:50It's a real nil.
07:52Number 14 as the man on the PA announces Pavlidis.
07:591-0.
08:14Sanchez the early throw there.
08:16The idea was good.
08:17Just over.
08:19Over played the throw in.
08:21Just was a bit...
08:28Lax McCann comes away for Estoril.
08:30Good pace here.
08:31From the number seven.
08:33A wonderful challenge.
08:34That's why they've signed him.
08:39Dahl.
08:41Finds Prestiani.
08:44It's with Dahl again.
08:45Cleverly done.
08:46He's managed to stab it into the area.
08:48How do we get the shot away?
08:51Rackles effort as well.
08:52Blocked by Ferro.
08:55Chance of a counter here maybe for Estoril.
09:05That's a neat ball over the top by Tungui.
09:08Good pace as well from Lakshmikant.
09:10But good awareness too.
09:16Frederick Orznes is unavailable for Benfica tonight.
09:19Through injury.
09:20Here's Rafa Silva for Barrero.
09:22Neat football again.
09:23Pavlidis, can he finish?
09:24Oh, the goalkeeper's made a good save.
09:26Prestiani's shot.
09:27Barrero, can he get it away?
09:29No.
09:30Last-ditch defending from Estoril.
09:32Keeps them out.
09:34That should just about be that.
09:36But so close to a second.
09:38Good stop by Rovles there.
09:41Prestiani's effort.
09:45Still the pressure comes.
09:46Bah.
09:49Header at the near post from Rafa Silva.
09:52Saved this time by Robles.
09:5536-year-old keeper.
09:57Got down quickly.
10:02Estoril will welcome the halftime whistle, I think.
10:05Here's Rafa Silva.
10:07It's going to break for Barrero.
10:09The goalkeeper saved again.
10:11Robles this time with his feet.
10:21Last chance of the half for Benfica.
10:25Satisfactory first half though for the Eagles.
10:26The goal coming from Vangelis.
10:30Padlidis.
10:38In the Estoril ranks at halftime.
10:41Jordan Holtzgrove, who we just saw and shot there a moment ago,
10:45coming on to replace Dzeka, who we saw pick up a bit of a knock in the first half.
10:54So it's a midfielder on for a midfielder.
10:57Holtzgrove.
11:01Prestiani now.
11:02Inside to Polina.
11:07Sanchez with the header away.
11:11We sent before those huge games.
11:15Every game is important, of course, but those two particularly so.
11:20Barrero.
11:21That's a neat ball over the top for Pablidis.
11:24Sudikov continued his run.
11:26Robles went with his feet.
11:32He was under pressure, the defender, as the ball was played back to him.
11:37And so the pressure continues to mount.
11:43What a great effort!
11:45Oh, what a goal!
11:52That is an incredible strike from Clement Longley.
12:02Oh, what a moment for him.
12:04His first league goal for Benfica.
12:07And it's like that.
12:11Absolutely brilliant from the French defender.
12:30That's a thunderbolt from the French one.
12:36That's a two-goal lead for Benfica.
12:38And it's a two-goal lead for Benfica.
12:52Tester for the goalkeeper.
12:54Suarez who got a punch to it.
12:56And the follow-up effort over there.
12:59But he was under pressure there from Sierra, the goalkeeper.
13:03He was on there.
13:07Sudikov stabbing a ball through there to Rafa Silva.
13:09Here's Pavlidis.
13:11It's run through to Prestiani.
13:14And it's a good stop this time by Robles.
13:16The threat is still there.
13:18Dahl's shot squeezing just wide.
13:20It took a little deflection.
13:35I think the Benfica fans feel there's more goals in this game for their team.
13:40Or just next to Carvalho.
13:45Not a knee reverse pass from Carvalho.
13:48I think Graoui was waiting inside the six-yard box there.
13:52But it was well-clared.
14:03This time it's Prestiani that goes down.
14:07Lost to Antonio Silva as well.
14:17That's a good battling there from Oroza to win it back.
14:21Here's Pavlidis again.
14:23Prestiani.
14:24Driven across.
14:25Oh, that was taken off Sheldorov's toe.
14:28Right now with Sheldorov on the left.
14:32And that was 3-0.
14:34The threat to Joel Robles' goal.
14:40Sudakov with the cross.
14:43A header from Pavlidis.
14:44He wasn't marked properly there Pavlidis.
14:46Left in a lot of space.
14:48Sudakov again.
14:51Oroza is free at the back post.
14:52The right delivery.
15:00Dance ball.
15:02Here is Tomas Oroza.
15:05And his shot is blocked out for a corner with the offside flag is up.
15:19Oroza kept his eyes on that one all the way.
15:21And again, cleverly back to the goalkeeper.
15:24That's really...
15:32That's going to be a free kick there.
15:33First yellow card of the game as well.
15:44It's the ball to stay big.
15:52Dahl went for the low effort.
15:54Prestiani with the shot.
15:55That's blocked as well.
15:58Benfica still have it.
16:00Dahl once more.
16:04He's managed to produce it, a cross, oh!
16:05The shot from Paulinha, saved by Robles, so close to Dahl.
16:11Really good cross, Paulinha doing well to hit the target.
16:17Good reaction save from Robles.
16:27Corner taken quickly.
16:30Here's Dahl again.
16:32Another one from distance and another fine save by Robles.
16:36Well, he's been kept busy now.
16:41Dahl didn't have any joy with the free kick, but that was creeping in.
16:45And the goalkeeper made an excellent stop.
16:50Shoot across the ball, Paulinha's header.
16:54Better off to go for goal there, Paulinha, rather than trying to set a teammate up.
17:06And Pedro Carvalho, a little in the other game, by the way, Braga and Victoria Guimane.
17:14The goal's ball into the area is easily claimed by Samuel Suarez.
17:18Good commanding goal.
17:23He's on track.
17:26Leclerc is waiting in the centre.
17:31The shot is in the net.
17:34Kirstor Hill have pulled one back.
17:36With ten minutes to go.
17:38And it's that man, Yannis Pagraoui, in the league.
17:42And he's got his second of this campaign.
17:46Assuming that that's onside.
17:48And it looks as if Dahl did play Andrade onside.
17:54And a scruffy defending.
17:57Good strength there from Pagraoui.
17:59And a wonderful finish.
18:01Not dissimilar, actually, to the goal scored earlier on by Pablidis on the turn.
18:07Very neat finish.
18:09And suddenly there's a chink of light and a bit of hope for Esteril.
18:14Pantvika two.
18:15Esteril one.
18:19And another opening league game.
18:22At the start of the lose, finishing a 2-2 draw against Academico.
18:27That will be fresh in the minds of the Benfica fans.
18:30Luca Pacquiao with the layoff for Paglina.
18:33The shot was always rising.
18:46Sheldarup takes it quickly too far.
18:48Here's Luca Pacquiao.
18:52Sheldarup now.
18:57Too high.
18:59But usually delivers a very good ball.
19:03Oh, the king all the way through there to Ismail Sayera.
19:07He had fouled anyway.
19:09So it's a free move on in this window.
19:11We'll see.
19:27Well, the full-time whistle sounds.
19:30And it's three points for Benfica.
19:33A 2-1 victory which saw the debut of Joao Palina.
19:37Goals from Vangelis.
19:39Fabio.
19:42Goals from Vangelis.
19:45Goals from Vangelis.
19:48Goals from Vangelis.
19:48Goals from Vangelis.
19:48Goals from Vangelis.
19:48Goals from Vangelis.
19:49Goals from Vangelis.
19:49Goals from Vangelis.
19:49Goals from Vangelis.
