00:00you want the good news or the bad news first oh bad news no you got to take the good
00:04news first
00:04because that's how this is going to work nah i thought you'd say the good news i should have
00:08known better yeah you and i always want bad news for rock paper scissors for no i'm telling you
00:12the good news first you ready for the good news absolutely dylan gabriel taylon green both look
00:17good agreed agreed yeah agreed oh yeah the official show stance yeah we can agree you ready for the
00:23bad news you ready for the bad news sure they look just as good as the two other guys
00:29oh boy oh that just went out there and farted in the middle of the room
00:32gonna need a fart corner like that one elementary school over there in san diego i saw that well
00:39you know that's a it's a hell of a thing we got going on there anyway yeah i mean let's
00:47be honest
00:48and it was like well you know they're playing with threes playing i saw some twos out there at the
00:52beginning of that game uh for the new england patriots mike vrabel i mean you could say whatever
00:56you want in this argument of radio uh mike vrabel was he looked mad the whole game he looked he
01:02looked
01:02mad absolutely miserable looked like he was mad at their effort he was mad at their attitude who
01:08smiled less last night mike vrabel or shador sanders two one six i didn't think i saw him smiling oh
01:15you
01:15did yeah i got a bunch of attacks what's going on with shador why does he seem miserable why isn't
01:20he
01:21by dylan what's going on why isn't he celebrating i think those are your friends trying to guess you
01:25maybe they are i did okay i know it's like oh kenny shador here i did not notice any of
01:31that
01:31oh they kept showing shador and he was like he had the earpiece in which is good because we talked
01:37about it yesterday focused we that's what that's what we talked about we said we wanted these guys
01:41to be dialed in no matter what uh the entire time he has no time for your fun and games
01:46but it was
01:47just shador always has a smile on his face last night that was gone that was completely gone
01:52the sean was over by the other quarterbacks yeah oh he also had an earpiece he was bopping and
01:57scatting the entire afternoon or the entire evening it hits for the amazon prime we'll talk about we'll
02:02talk about that we will absolutely discuss that coming up here shortly um all right so
02:10dylan gabriel played well enough he you can't trade him right that isn't that when you would trade him
02:17okay i thought about this and i know everybody goes exactly what you just said but what is the
02:23job of a backup quarterback i'm not saying that dylan gabriel should be the starter listen to me
02:28closely what's the job of a backup quarterback know the offense yeah oh yeah try to eliminate
02:36turnovers which you go back to last year he's not going to give you much of a chance but he's
02:42not
02:42going to be the reason you lose i guess you would you would try to make that argument right oh
02:47and
02:47yeah go ahead so are you keeping four quarterbacks ken well this is my issue just answer my question
02:54well i don't that's the thing i can't answer it i don't know backs was electrifying last night well
02:59okay it's the only thing i'll remember from this preseason well who was that wasn't dylan gabriel
03:04okay well you talk about taylor green running from holy hell i want to see him with the ball in
03:08his
03:09hands every chance 100 109 and nine tenths of a yard into the back of the end zone and nearly
03:18put
03:19his foot on the line it somehow he was close 30 yard 40 yards all together but if he does
03:24that with
03:24like 20 yards behind him a buffer and then he can take all right so listen i'm gonna i'm gonna
03:30take
03:30the easy way out you guys are both gonna roll your eyes and go no no no no no no
03:33this isn't how it works
03:34so i discussed it with nathan last last night on the pregame we'll have nathan on at nine
03:40uh we have found a way you can keep four quarterbacks and if you want to yell at me about
03:45that
03:45216-474-0092 okay i found a way to keep four quarterbacks what you want to hear it or you
03:52know
03:53the browns change the more they stay the same how well four quarterbacks well we've had four
03:59quarterbacks before they just continue the competition just like last year they should do that
04:02into the season is it really gonna matter in the grand scheme of things anthony that's what i'm
04:07saying thank you let him compete let him compete for the starting job and the backup job well here
04:12here here i got familiar here uh here's how i got it all right you take mike hall listen to
04:20me
04:20he's competing no is he a quarterback that's fine i know they moved him from the tackle to the
04:26defensive end but now he's a quarterback i don't know if he's a guy by the way your local guy
04:32i think everybody like i always said like everybody in the nfl has played quarterback
04:35at one point i don't know if he actually played quarterback i think mike hall's just been
04:38destroying quarterback yeah like jc treader was a high school quarterback like usually the best
04:44athlete in the field plays quarterback anyway okay hear me out 216-474-0092 if you want to spike this
04:52idea go right on ahead i'm i'm all ears here guys because i'm i'm trying to figure out a way
04:57to keep
04:57all four so i'm just coming up with solutions instead of coming up with bad ideas here or i'm
05:03trying to come up with good ideas but they might be bad ideas i'm trying i'm trying to keep everybody
05:07okay i'm trying to come up with ideas here you take mike hall and you put them with the edge
05:15rushers
05:18okay and if you're keeping so you might keep nine or ten offensive linemen and then after that
05:24defensive tackles you take mike hall because you got that injury that happened to alex right
05:30unfortunately and you put him in with the edge rushers and then what that does you see because
05:35he can be a defensive tackle or edge rusher then you can keep four quarterbacks because you got one
05:42who can do both brought up nathan yesterday nathan brought it up didn't think it was too bad of an
05:48idea
05:49well it's taylor green a quarterback because what i saw last night was not a quarterback well i'm
05:54sorry but he spent all training camp as a quarterback and if you're going to make him something else it
05:58probably you would i hate to say it you probably cut him and then put him on the practice squad
06:02and
06:03then he would develop in another position somewhere else if you wanted to do such a thing yeah i was
06:07watching him last night like owen they mentioned terrell prior kirk curb street mentioned terrell prior
06:13what did i say about terrell prior you you've been talking about terrell prior for a thousand yard
06:17receiving season a thousand years that had he have converted earlier in his career he would
06:22have made a lot more money he would add a lot more effective nfl all right yes he would have
06:26but the
06:26money is completely different because you're saying the same thing that bill pollian and and several
06:30others who have ran away from that take we're saying about lamar jackson they said it about lamar
06:34jackson all right i'm saying taylor green okay last night had his opportunity to play quarterback and
06:40he was not playing but a job a job's a job so when guys come up like there's several so
06:45if you look at it
06:45like this all right if you're doing this job i didn't start as they didn't just throw me on the
06:51air and go here you go that's how it goes like no i started out as a board op and
06:55some guys they're
06:56just board ops and that's the way it goes or they can become that but you give them the opportunity
07:01you just lost somebody like that it's it's a it's a starter thing okay i'm just going by history here
07:09not dumping just telling the truth here so i was the equivalent of a six rounder and then you get
07:15your chance to work up and i could have been an engineer in radio could have been just a board
07:20i'm the tower could have been a slappy well no you got to jump onto the tower because if you're
07:24grounded in the am i wouldn't be here i'd just be fried up so you could be those things or
07:30you could
07:30be a host and if you're a host great if you're not okay but you still have the opportunity to
07:35try
07:35and he should have the opportunity to try does he should he not the fact that he in that game
07:41in that opportunity did not all right throw the football willingly but if you're going to
07:47kind of made me think like he's never going to be a quarterback and that's that's you know what
07:51honestly anthony you're probably right however i'm trying to find a way to keep him with the
07:58browns and maybe this is the way maybe you know we get all jazzed up because we're looking for
08:03quarterbacks anywhere could he pass through waivers and then end up on your practice squad
08:07because if you wanted to put him on your practice squad he'd probably play scout team quarterback
08:12considering the athleticism of what you're playing at the quarterback position this year
08:15but in any year but you could try it could he be the tallest kick returner in nfl history you
08:22could try to develop him in another position on the p squad with extra reps after practice and
08:29everything else and then an off season if you wanted to that's what i'm pointing out that's all
08:35yeah it was just kind of a mess of a rookie um training camp for him all the way around
08:41right
08:41like he just he just really didn't fit anywhere and because of the quarterback competition he didn't
08:47get to you know typically guys that they're throwing a flyer at or whatever get a little more
08:54opportunity and he really didn't get it until they're like hey go in there for a half of football
08:59last night at quarterback and he's like no i'm just gonna take off and run that's what i'm gonna do
09:04what he knows best he's gonna he's gonna do what he knows best and boy he was faster than everybody
09:11else on the field and as a person who watched and when i say i watch all these games they're
09:14like
09:15kenny's gambling i'm like no you can check out the bank statements man i i swear to god check the
09:19notes you've got the notes guys i got a lot of vices i i i like to drink uh i
09:25i have a history
09:26with medicinals back in the day uh i know exactly you're a drug runner at work i know that well
09:32if
09:32you listen to the emerging podcast scene you know about that and don't say anymore because my dad
09:35might be listening now and awake and i want to have to answer those questions later on i mean hell
09:39we're all grown men but still i don't feel like going through that and and i yes i i am
09:43familiar with
09:44the works of sarah jay all right but i'm not a gambler i'm not a gambler i'd actually call myself
09:51a connoisseur of the works of sarah jay but that's a different conversation uh i and i've watched a
09:56lot of arkansas football oddly enough because i like sam pitman and i know he's no longer there
10:02kind of looks like me when i get older except he's probably thinner and i just always been a kind
10:07of an admirer and i saw a lot of tailing green last year and i think that he looked a
10:13lot like what
10:13tailing green had looked like in arkansas where it's like well i got nobody else to throw to so
10:17i'm gonna take off and yeah so he didn't get a lot of opportunities to throw the football
10:21but he ran great and he was asked in the post game by two different familiar voices yeah about
10:28playing quarterback or playing wide receiver has anyone ever wanted you to play receiver i mean
10:36uh in high school and and recruiting into college but i told him no you know i'm a quarterback
10:43through and through and you know i'm gonna stick to that these guys told you asked you to play
10:48receiver no would you say no no i said no i'm a quarterback would you be good for a gadget
10:54player too i'm a quarterback hey is that asking basket no that was asking basket asking yeah
11:05it's different it's good i feel bad listening to him like i i i understand everybody wants to play
11:12quarterback everybody wants to be the most popular guy on the team everyone wants to date the cheerleader
11:17he better start thinking about moving somewhere else or he's not gonna have much of a career
11:22well he's married now baskin no taylor green baskin's been married for a while yeah baskin's
11:28been hitched a long time but taylor green got married a couple months ago uh but i i just don't
11:34i don't see quarterback when i see him i see dynamic tool that can be used i want to see
11:40a lot more of
11:40running the football oh i think i that's the thing i think they want to find a way to absolutely
11:46utilize that because how many times in the last how many years when the browns
11:51get inside the red zone and it's like oh yeah we have no we have nobody all right 216-474
11:57-0092
11:57if you got to cut one of them who you can
12:02i gotta i'll bring out the tally you want me to tally it up you gotta cut one of them
12:08who you got
12:08who are you gonna cut
12:11let's go around the room you want to go around the room you guys want to do bad stuff right
12:14now
12:15we'll do bad stuff right now i tried to i tried to be creative and give you some sort of
12:20a look
12:20into how you can keep four quarterbacks and i am being soundly rejected by everybody do we think
12:26do we think the falcons and kevin stefanski saw that game last night and we're like yeah that's
12:32that's what i wanted that's what i think with our disastrous their disastrous qb situation
12:40in atlanta based on what they saw out of pennix and to uh pennix being injured
12:45uh i know they had jack strand the minnesota state kid but is that something do you think
12:52they would want to trade for
12:55taylor green no dylan gabriel dylan gabriel
13:01yeah i think kevin would trade for dylan gabriel
13:04just judging by last night's performance
13:07but
13:09i don't want to get carried away obviously and you said they were going up against
13:15second stringers for a while guys this is going to be the most frustrating show
13:18that we've done all year i guarantee you because i already know where some of you guys are at on
13:23this
13:23and i i i understand i empathize with it however
13:29you
13:31you you gotta have a guy if they're trying he todd munkin is trying to win games
13:37i know none of you believe they're going to win many but he's trying to win games
13:41so it makes it hard if dylan gabriel knows the offense
13:45and then he he can get guys lined up and you saw that
13:48it makes it hard to trade dylan gabriel
13:51so what does that leave well you can't trade
13:54deshaun watson because no one's going to trade for him
13:58and you can't cut him because i'm trying to draft a quarterback next year
14:02and i don't want to have an 86 million dollar cap hit going into next year because i would
14:06i would like to put some people around him that aren't just draft picks next season
14:09into that quarterback okay i know that we have none of us like this but
14:14no
14:15shador sanders
14:18i guess you could cut him
14:19if you really wanted to but i think that that's more people just reacting to fans online
14:24and most are bots and burners but whatever
14:27you could
14:28i don't think you can trade him
14:31taylor green
14:32all right
14:33yes he plays the quarterback position but
14:36nobody is talking about him throwing the football
14:38it's a big part of the position
14:40like lamar jackson doesn't just run with it
14:42it's part of his game
14:44but we all talked about it
14:46the deep ball
14:47the spirals
14:48and throwing with anticipation
14:51those things happen with lamar jackson
14:52so
14:54what are we going to do here guys
14:55like i'm sorry
14:56i'm trying to find creative way
14:58and if i can't find a creative way
15:00then i guess taylor green's the odd man out folks
15:03am i wrong
15:04maybe i'm wrong
15:04i mean this is what i want people's opinions
15:07let's have a discussion
15:07i don't need to speak in absolutes every single day do i
15:11do i have to do i have to tell you that i'm right and you're wrong every single day
15:15is that how this is supposed to work
15:16can't we have a little bit of a discussion here
15:18this is the discussion they would have in baria
15:20is it not
15:21i mean not like this
15:23i don't think sarah j would get brought up
15:24but you get what i'm saying
15:26so let's
15:26let's talk about it
15:28damn it
15:29let's cut
15:29let's come to a consensus on this
