00:00Now let's go further north to Michigan specifically.
00:03We're going to take a look at a funnel cloud that was spotted in Lake St. Clair over the weekend.
00:07The video of the funnel cloud was taken Saturday near Harsons Island.
00:11We have more severe weather that we're going to be tracking up this way.
00:14Absolutely. And you know, late last week we said one forecast you could take to the bank
00:18was that there will be water spout video that we can show you on Monday
00:22because of this cooler air aloft over those relatively warm Great Lakes.
00:26There's one case in point there. Lake St. Clair.
00:29Some people argue, they make the argument that Lake St. Clair should be the sixth of the Great Lakes.
00:34Maybe it's big enough, maybe it's not big enough.
00:36Regardless, it's part of the Great Lakes system.
00:38And to the west, you can see into the northern plains, scattered thunderstorms will break out again this evening
00:43and through the night. Some of these will occur late tonight.
00:46Not a whole lot of action this afternoon here, but hail and damaging winds through the Dakotas,
00:52western and central Nebraska, and eastern Colorado.
00:54Tony Law back preparing to head back out, and he's been out and about again recently quite a bit in
01:00Colorado with some hailers.
01:02But as we move into tomorrow, we are dealing with the disturbance moving east into the upper Midwest,
01:06so Wisconsin's in on it, and we still have some action down in Colorado and western Kansas in the High
01:11Plains.
01:12So two areas of concern, a clustering of thunderstorms, Minneapolis, Duluth, Green Bay, Sioux Falls is in on some of
01:19that.
01:19Delightful weather, by the way, over Lake St. Clair, 79 in Detroit, not bad at all.
01:24And then you head west into the High Plains, the western half of Nebraska, western Kansas,
01:28into the front range of the Rockies, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, Cheyenne, and areas like Denver.
01:32We'll see scattered storms there as well.
01:34So overall, here's the risk of severe weather from the north woods of Wisconsin, Minneapolis, north to Duluth,
01:39the Arrowhead of Minnesota, hail and damaging winds there.
01:42And then the western zone into the central and western plains and a little bit east of the Denver metro
01:48with some thunderstorms bringing hail, flash flooding, and damaging winds as well.
01:53We can see this play out here with future radar.
01:55Look at the storms late tonight, scattered.
01:57They're not going to be terribly widespread, but they'll be out there in the northern plains.
02:00Tomorrow, a new episode here in Minneapolis into areas around Duluth and up into the northern part of Michigan
02:06and also into the western plains as we highlighted with those two yellow zones.
02:09And then if we get deeper into the day Wednesday, still a little stormy for some.
02:13We're going to highlight some thunderstorms in other parts of the north central U.S. for Thursday.
02:18And a lot of them are going to be in the western part of the plains, the high plains.
02:21And also, by the way, Wednesday, Chicago and east will see some action too.
