Najib's lawyers: Shahrol conspired with Jho Low, not Najib in 1MDB civil suit

Lawyer  Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, who is representing former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his 1MDB civil suit, alleged on Wednesday (Aug 19) that the cross-examination conducted by the other defendant Kelvin Tan's lawyer GK Ganesan against former 1MDB CEO Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi the day before revealed questions about the relationship between Shahrol and fugitive businessman Jho Low.  “In 1MDB’s statement of claim, it is said that Datuk Seri Najib conspired with Shahrol and other parties, including Jho Low, to defraud 1MDB.  “But GK Ganesan in cross-examination yesterday posed several questions, including using the same documents, which showed that the people who conspired were Shahrol and Jho Low,” said Shafee in a press conference. 02:52because he was confident, nothing will happen to him.

02:56And therefore, the conspiracy, or what I suggested, exists.
