00:00But we did get major news today as far as injuries are concerned in baseball.
00:05There were three significant moves in the last 24 hours that I think we should talk about,
00:08all involving major players.
00:10The first yesterday, of course, was Cattell Marte being placed on the restricted list,
00:15and they went out and lost 11-1.
00:17So the Diamondbacks, arguably, if Marte is not their best player,
00:21he's certainly their second best player, Corbin Carroll, I guess you could make a case for that.
00:25But they're very murky with Marte.
00:27It's the second straight year they've had an issue with him there.
00:30And he was reportedly still with the team and still in Boston.
00:33And some people, I guess, said they saw him at the bar even.
00:36I don't know if that's true or not, but that's what they said.
00:38So that's one.
00:40The second one is you can put a fork in the Rockies now.
00:42They officially did place Hunter Goodman on the injured list, who we talked about yesterday.
00:46So that's it.
00:47He's their best hitter.
00:48Rockies got absolutely smashed last night by L.A.
00:52Now it's big trouble for the Rockies.
00:53I don't think they're in the same category as the A's, but definitely that's losing a massive, massive hitter for

01:01And you wonder, Joe, would they bring him even back at the end of the season?

01:04And then the New York Yankees today put Max Freed back on the injured list.
01:09So that, I mean, it's not solving a problem.
01:12It's still a major problem.
01:13But they are getting a couple of guys back soon who will go right into the rotation.
01:16And I'm guessing if Freed or when Freed comes back, it will be end of season, final week, postseason, get
01:25him in there, let him start game two or three.
01:27So usually don't start off with a lot of injuries here, Joe.
01:30But at the top of the show, I thought those were three pretty significant ones, too.
01:33And Marte's not an injury, but it's a player not playing on a team that's charging for the playoffs.
01:38Well, it's also extremely weird because you're talking about a player who's in the middle of a six-year, $105
01:44million contract and has a history of, don't forget, what was it, 2025, I believe, last year, where after the
01:53All-Star break, he was asking for time off.
01:56Somebody burglarized his house.
01:58He was away from the team.
02:00They were trying to make a post-it.
02:02Like, he has been – it's not like he's a $6 million-a-year guy.
02:07I mean, this is a guy making a ton of money with an absolute big impact on that lineup here.
02:15I mean, 34.9 career war with Arizona.
02:19He ranks third on the all-time franchise war leaderboard.
02:22This was not like some sort of fly-by-night player they just picked up and released.

03:23I guess Arizona, they're saving graces.

03:26St. Louis lost that second game.
03:28And San Diego lost, too.
03:29So, there was really no ground to lose.
03:32But I would say without Marte, if he's not back, that's – I mean, it's not the dagger, so to

03:41But it does make me feel a little different about them.
03:43I mean, he's their two-hole or three-hole hitter every single night.
