00:05have a bottle rocket accident last preseason, but was with the Chargers.
00:12And then in week three, he tore his Achilles.
00:16And while he worked out for the Giants on Monday, and Harbaugh loved them and thought
00:22this would be great addition to the backfield.
00:26And guess what?
00:27That's what they did.
00:28They signed him now in the backfield for the Giants, given a little extra depth there.
00:34And listen, the guy's a beast, 240 pounds.
00:37I mean, he's six foot one, 240.
00:40Call me crazy here, Craig.
00:42The more they can run the ball, the more that's right up in the Harbaugh's alley there.
00:47You can never have enough power running backs.
00:50And they've got some.
00:51Cam Scatterboot, Tyrone Tracy, Singletary.
00:54They have got some running backs on this team.

01:00It is a little weird for me, because you just mentioned that Cam Scatterboot is there, and
01:05Tyrone Tracy was pretty good when he played.
01:07And Singletary, you know, maybe that's what it is, Joe.
01:12Maybe it's Devin Singletary's job is on the line here going into the season, and Harris takes
01:18that third spot, because it wouldn't really make sense to me, Joe, to bring in Harris to
01:22be the fourth guy in that running back room.
01:25That doesn't equate to me.
01:28So maybe it's more of an indictment on Singletary.
01:30Maybe even they're going to trade Tyrone Tracy somewhere else.
01:33Like, I think it opens up more questions about the two and the three on that team, what they
01:38think about him.
01:39And then the other part about this in the NFL, Joe, is that you sign Najee today, and in
01:43two weeks, you say goodbye, you know, that could happen, too.
01:46It very well could happen, and maybe it's just depth for the time being.
01:50But the preseason is coming up this week, and, you know, the NFL season, as close as
01:56it is, is still a little bit far away.
01:58Like, that's just true.
01:59Like, we're not going to get NFL games for still another three to four weeks.
02:03So this week is really the only time that if you love the NFL and you love watching your
02:09players play in the NFL, this is it.
02:11Like, because you're not going to see them the next week.
02:13And then it's going to be, you know, a while until the season begins.
02:16So I looked at the lines before the show today, and I only found a couple of lines that were
02:22like four or five.
02:23It feels to me that maybe the odds makers, Joe, don't know who's playing in the games
02:29this week, because every line is like one, two, one, two, two and a half, one, two, two,
02:34like every line.
02:35And I don't know why that is.
02:38I don't know if you have any thoughts on it.

02:41Now, the one thing that I know is that the Chiefs never play anybody in the preseason.
02:45So that I understood why they were going to be big dogs, whoever they play in the preseason.
02:50I get that because they literally, Andy Reid does not believe in playing anybody in the
02:54preseason.
02:55But beyond that, why are the lines so tight every game?
02:59Because with only three games in the preseason, this is the game we are likely going to get
03:06a half from the starters.
03:08They're not going to play the starters in week three of the preseason.
03:11So the game action, the starters are going to be this week, which is why you've seen the
03:17numbers come down.
03:18You're seeing the totals also shift a lot depending on what's coming out.
03:23Let's face it.
03:24The Browns have to figure out who the quarterback is.
03:27They're running out of time.
03:28Is it Deshaun Watson?
03:29Is it Shedord Sanders?
03:30So, you know, there are some position battles that are going to play out here.
03:37Still got to figure out what they're going to do with the Raiders.
03:40Is, you know, who's going to be your quarterback week one?
03:44Is it or is it are you going to go with the rookie Mendoza who looked pretty good in his
03:49first start?
03:50So there are a lot of teams, I think, that still have some important positions and there
03:56are going to be some battles.
03:57You're going to see a lot of starters this week.
03:59And maybe the thing I can't wait to see the most with the Giants is they had to cut Juju
04:06Smith Schuster from the team to make room for Najee Harris.
