00:05Now relative to yesterday, today will be less hot across central, southern and eastern areas
00:11and we've lost some of the warmth further north and west but the legacy of that very
00:16warm and humid air has brought thunderstorms overnight, thunderstorm warning until the
00:20early hours of this morning as this cold front gradually pushes its way eastwards, taking
00:26with it some heavy downpours but certainly there'll be a bit more cloud just pushing
00:30in across northern England as well as Wales west country and then a few showers likely as we head
00:35through the day across the northwest. Now into Saturday morning one or two thunderstorms could
00:39possibly blossom across eastern counties and again there's a small chance they could turn heavy
00:46but they will ease. High pressure then casts an influence from this southwest but we continue to
00:52see some showers through Sunday across more northern and western areas before it turns wet
00:56yet again in the northwest into the beginning of next week. For the time being first thing you
01:03may run into a heavy perhaps even thundery downpour across Scotland even the far northwest of England
01:09for Cumbria. Towards the west there a bit of a fresher feel to things one or two scattered showers and
01:14one or two light showers possible across Irish sea coasts. It's a muggy night, a muggy day as we start
01:21the day on Friday today across England and Wales it has been uncomfortable for sleeping slightly better
01:27into tonight and tomorrow morning. So first thing then here's that weather front moving its way
01:34eastwards notice these bright echoes representing some heavy downpours with the risk of thunder possible
01:41as we head through the morning but things will tend to ease through today and certainly this cold front
01:46just introducing more clouds to northern England one or two showers can't be ruled out across north
01:52wales west wales and certainly one or two light showers just filing in on that westerly breeze across
01:58western scotland isolated shower for northern ireland but we hang on to some fine weather further south
02:03and east with some sunshine coming through the cloud could break further west as well
02:07now here are your temperatures through today we'll see the low 20s across scotland and northern ireland
02:14again with some brighter weather but we hang on to perhaps 29 30 across east wales the midlands
02:20eastern counties of england so relative to yesterday yes it's less hot by a good couple of degrees but
02:27even so still a very warm day and rather muggy as well that cold front is slow moving but as
02:33i said it
02:34could introduce more cloud and certainly you'll notice the difference for west wales here temperatures
02:39probably only 22 23 celsius and that cold front slips away through this evening and overnight and with
02:47that there could be one or two showers developing across central and eastern areas of england into
02:52the early hours of saturday morning at the same time this brisk breeze delivering some showers across
02:57scotland and northern ireland some clear as bells elsewhere as the cloud slips down towards the southeast
03:03these thundery downpours will be sporadic and they will tend to ease through saturday before that
03:10they're still a humid and warm night across eastern counties fresher elsewhere more comfortable for
03:16sleeping so that's the picture on saturday morning as we head through the day on saturday a mix of cloud
03:23and sunshine notice first thing again one or two heavier downpours could be possible and again with the
03:30risk of thunder here those showers just moving in across north and west of scotland in shelter some
03:37brighter weather coming through some sunny spells through the afternoon across many areas as we see
03:42a mix of that cloud just breaking up at times so through the afternoon we hang on to the mid
03:47to
03:47high 20s across central southern parts of england and wales warm in the sunshine across all northern
03:53areas of england as well as mid wales but temperatures across scotland and northern ireland in shelter
03:58probably 20 degrees celsius but the mid teens further north and west with a stream of those
04:04showers moving in through the day so that's the picture on saturday into sunday this ridge affecting
04:11the weather particularly across central and southern areas of the uk still some
04:15showery bursts just across the north and the west of scotland and then thickening cloud brings outbreaks
04:21of rain on monday initially some patchy rain but it could pep up with some higher rainfall totals
04:27across scotland and northern ireland through monday and into evening time before that though here's
04:32your city's list for sunday across some parts you'll see a mix of clouds and sunshine the sun coming
04:38through a little showery rain across the far north of scotland and then into monday yes we'll see some
04:45fine weather to start the day towards southeastern areas of scotland before that rain moves in
04:49showery then across northern ireland and it could turn heavy later mostly fine and dry and temperatures on the
04:56up a little bit towards home counties as well as the southeast so the heat remains across more
