00:02President Trump publicly boarded Air Force One in Turkey last month, but he never left
00:07the country on it, according to the Washington Post. Trump had flown to Ankara for the NATO
00:13summit on the newer, Qatar-donated presidential jet. Before leaving, he said he would switch
00:19to the older Air Force One for old time's sake, and then boarded that plane in front
00:23of cameras. But minutes later, Trump secretly got off on the other side. The Post reports
00:29an airport catering truck, you can see it here in the pictures behind the plane, took
00:34the president and a small group of aides across the tarmac to a third plane, an Air Force C-32A.
00:41That plane flew Trump to Britain. The older Air Force One took off also, with reporters
00:47and some White House staff aboard, who believed the president was still with them. So why
00:52all the secrecy? U.S. officials previously told CBS News they had detected a credible plot
00:58by Iran and its proxies to fire a missile at the plane carrying Trump. The Secret Service
01:04then moved to a backup plan. The White House now says those kinds of precautions are necessary
01:10because enemies of the United States have their sights on the president.
