00:17noted that Anwar's health was improving and that he would continue with physiotherapy.
00:22He added that the Prime Minister would closely follow the debate to ensure the Islamic
00:27institutions' trust and responsibilities continued to be safeguarded. Anwar underwent
00:32elective laparoscopic surgery yesterday to treat an abdominal hernia. Perikatan National has called
00:38for the special sitting to be postponed and reconvened later, saying Anwar should table
00:43the report himself given its importance and public interest. Its secretary-general Takeyuddin Hassan
00:50stated that the Prime Minister should be given time to recover. The report is instead expected to be
00:56tabled by Religious Affairs Minister Zoukifli Hassan, who is also expected to wind up the
01:01debate alongside Second Finance Minister Amir Hamza Azizan. The RCI report was declassified
01:07and released on July 29th, about four years after the Commission completed it in July 2022.
01:13It found major weaknesses in TH's governance and finances between 2014 and 2020, recommending
01:19tighter oversight, forensic audits, and limits on political involvement.
