00:00So I'm now here with Raquel Cassidy, Jim Carter, two of the stars of Downton Abbey, A New Era.
00:05It's so great to meet you both.
00:06This film, you've both returned alongside so many other stars of the series.
00:12What was your first reaction when you read the script?
00:15Thank God we're in the group going to the south of France.
00:18I mean, I'm sorry, but...
00:22Do I, where am I, where am I? Oh, I'm going to France, good.
00:25Oh, my wife's coming with me.
00:27It's nice, isn't it?
00:28Yeah, a bit. But you must have been thrilled when you saw how the film ended for you.
00:34Oh, goodness. I mean, yeah, the whole thing.
00:36First of all, am I in it?
00:38And secondly, does she finally get her man?
00:41And both of those were a big tick.
00:43And then, you know, will we, won't we go to France?
00:45We played that for an awfully long time because it was nearly filmed in Scotland,
00:50which, although Scotland's gorgeous, is not so warm.
00:52I mean, yeah, you were among the lucky few that did go to France,
00:55even though some of the scenes were filmed here in the UK.
00:57Did that make the rest of them very jealous?
01:00I hope so.
01:00Oh, yeah.
01:01Yeah.
01:01Plus, we unfortunately kept sending them photographs of the sunlit south of France
01:07and it was pouring, last June, it was pouring with rain back here.
01:10It was a terrible start to the summer last year.
01:13So we were forced, weren't we, to send them pictures of us.
01:16Do you have a little WhatsApp group for all of your cast members?
01:20We had a France contingency.
01:23Did we?
01:23We did, yeah.
01:24Was I on that?
01:25No, everyone except for you.
01:27No.
01:27Oh, thank you.
01:28Now I found out.
01:29That's a scoop for you.
01:31Oh, my God.
01:32No, I'm not big on WhatsApp groups and things like that.
01:34Actually, maybe we didn't.
01:35We had one going to New York for the...
01:37I didn't do that.
01:38No, but last time you did.
01:40Did I?
01:41Didn't you?
01:41I don't think so.
01:43I don't do WhatsApp groups.
01:44And there's been so much talk about a third film.
01:47You know, now it's been out and it's been such a huge box office success.
01:52I mean, if we were to revisit the characters in another year's time,
01:55where do you think they might be?
01:57Is Carson still in retirement or do you think he's come out?
02:00Well, at the end of this film, Lady Mary sort of says,
02:04oh, well, you know, I need you, Carson.
02:06So the door's left open for him to come back.
02:08I mean, Carson would obviously happily die in harness there.
02:13Especially for Lady Mary.
02:14For...
02:15Totally.
02:16He'd do anything for Lady Mary, yeah.
02:18So the door's open there, but who knows if there'll be another one.
02:23It's...
02:23I mean, I think we'd be delighted if there was, wouldn't we?
02:27Yeah, yeah.
02:27Yeah.
