00:03depends a lot on where you live. Now, if you're anywhere from eastern Washington and the Dakotas
00:07through Minnesota, Illinois, and West Virginia, you might be out of luck. Clouds could block your
00:12view, and with thunderstorms in the forecast for some areas, it might not even be safe to head
00:15outside to look for meteors. But further south, Texas, Oklahoma, much of the southeast, you're
00:20looking a lot better. Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, and Jacksonville are among the better
00:24spots for viewing. Now, across the northeast and much of the west, including New York City,
00:29Boston, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, conditions look fair, so you could still catch some meteors,
00:34but expect at least some cloud cover. If your skies are clear, find a dark spot, give your
00:38eyes about 20 minutes to adjust, and look up.
