00:34The tarmac aircraft has actually broken all their tow equipment as well, so unfortunately they can't be pushed backwards.

00:53It was the second near miss reported at Sydney Airport in a matter of weeks.

01:06New Zealand nearly collided after a breakdown of coordination, according to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
01:13Whether it was a breakdown in communication, in actually getting the right message to the right people, or the coordination
01:20of it, we're yet to ascertain.
01:22So, look, we're getting recorded information from the tower, from what was received on the aircraft.
01:28We do know that in both the incidents two weeks ago and again yesterday, it was the actions of the
01:34pilots on board that prevented what could have been far more serious.
01:37We're obviously concerned about it, not just the safety risks, but we want to make sure that the airport's operating
01:44at full capacity.
01:46That's hugely important for our economy, we don't want to make sure, we don't want to see people disrupted if
01:52they go to the airport and services are cancelled because there's not enough air traffic controllers.
01:57So, look, we're hopeful that there's a plan in place to recruit more people for a highly specialised but very
02:03important job.
