Tit for tat: Spain now establishes controls on travellers from Italy amid migration dispute

Italian travellers arriving in Spain on Saturday (August 8) found themselves caught in the middle of an escalating dispute between Spain and Italy over migration and border controls.

The move came after Italy refused Spanish demands to lift controls it imposed on arrivals from Spain following a mass influx of migrants into Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta.
