00:00Initiate the launch of Movement Scales in 3, 2, 1
00:15And to our international delegates and businesses, business leaders here tonight, let me also say this
00:21We welcome your confidence in Malaysia
00:25And we welcome you to bring more investment and business opportunities here
00:31Our responsibility is to ensure that every new investment coming into Malaysia translates into real opportunities for our people
00:43We are preparing our workforce with the right skills so that when industries arrive, Malaysia will be ready
00:54With the talent, the ecosystem and the capacity to grow together with you
01:00Ladies and gentlemen, the next step today is to ensure that skills translate into real progress
01:12We must build an ecosystem where better skills lead to better jobs, higher incomes and a more secure future
01:25This is what human capital development should ultimately achieve
01:30We are not simply producing workers for the economy
01:36We are creating pathways for social mobility, that's lifting families and allowing the next generation to go further than the
01:48generations before them
01:50I have always believed that talent is universal
01:57But opportunity is not
02:00Talent can emerge from any family, any community and any background
02:08But access to opportunity may not always be equal
02:14So our task is to connect that talent with the right opportunity
02:22We should not allow a young person to be left behind simply because he or she does not know where
02:32to access training, certification or industrial opportunities
02:40Nor should talents remain unrealized simply because the right doors were never opened
02:48This is where I see an important role for movement skills as a bridge between talent and skills
02:56between skills and industry and ultimately between potentials and success
03:02Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, government can provide policies, funding and the ecosystem
03:13But human capital development cannot be delivered by government alone
03:18It requires a whole of nation approach
03:24Bringing together government, industry and educational institutions, professionals and communities
03:34And in this context, the launch of Mu'min skills is timely
03:39Mu'min brings together more than 150 Indian Muslim organizations under one network
03:50And I want to see the strength of this community network transformed into a powerful talent network
03:58I want to see more young people receiving industrial recognized training and professional certification
04:09More partnership creating apprenticeship, internship and direct employment
04:16And more ultimately, more young Malaysians emerging as technologists, professionals, entrepreneurs, industries, leaders
