00:00Tropical downpours will chase some off of the southeast beaches at times at least Friday
00:05into Saturday and Sunday.
00:06There will be a pretty strong feed of moisture coming in around the southern periphery of
00:11the Bermuda High.
00:12That's directing all this moisture into Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas.
00:16We have been chipping away at drought.
00:18We could make some more progress though through the next few days at the expense of some of
00:22your outdoor plans.
00:23So look out for tropical downpours especially in the afternoon on Friday.
00:27Friday may be the most widespread of the next few days for some in the Carolinas, Georgia
00:32and Florida.
00:32But there will still be some scattered thunderstorms that redevelop on Saturday and Sunday in this
00:37sultry air, high heat and humidity and this relentless feed of moisture coming in.
00:42There will also be some extra risk of rip currents because of the wind coming in as it is.
00:48So just be aware of that.
00:49As we take you to Myrtle Beach the best chance for thunderstorms will be on Friday but there
00:53will be some out there on Saturday and Sunday.
00:55Similarly, Daytona Beach the best chance for longer lasting thunderstorms will come on Friday
01:00as well.
01:01You can see we're still in drought but we're making progress.
01:04You can see we're still in drought but we'll still be suffering.
