00:04weekend. Jose Soriano did not start. As of right now, they haven't announced anything for Tuesday
00:09with Reid Detmers, but he could be certainly on the move. He'll face off with Cade Povich.
00:15This is a series that the Orioles are in a good position to take, Tom. And if they do,
00:21and just kind of to set the tone here for some of these pitchers that get scratched,
00:24just from my experience doing this in the past, what this usually means, not every time,
00:27but it usually means when a team scratches a pitcher, they have set a floor for what they
00:34would accept in a trade. So I would assume the Mets have what they want for Peralta,
00:38and the Angels have what they want for Soriano. And now what they'll do is try and see if they
00:44can extract a little bit more or work out a final deal with a team, because you wouldn't do that
00:49unless you knew you had some sort of trade in hand. But it doesn't pay them to do it right
00:54now.
00:54They can wait, try to get another team involved in it. But that is sort of the thinking. So I

00:59imagine Soriano is on the move before next week.

01:09operate. He's very simple. Again, the Orioles, for as bad as or mediocre as they've been,
01:15they're one and a half games out of a wildcard spot right now. They're playing the Angels.
01:19Two out of three games is a big spot. So two out of three for them. You know, the Twins
01:24are ahead
01:24of them in the wildcard. We certainly don't think, despite the moves the Twins are making,
01:28we don't think the Twins are actually good enough. But chasing down the Guardians, who are in a bit
01:33of a free fall right now, they're two and eight of their last 10. This is spot for the Orioles
01:37to win
01:38two out of three or sweep the series and vault themselves back into the wildcard spot, which is
01:42not something that we would have said two or three or four weeks ago.
