00:00There's a lot of badasses in BKFC, and you're in a really, really deep division, man, right?
00:05So there's a lot of just sort of killers.
00:08I always find it's like, man, it's hard to stand out because, like, everybody's sort of a badass,
00:12and there's a lot of dudes that put, like, these winning streaks together,
00:17and you're not the type of guy that's going to say stupid stuff for the sake of saying it.
00:21Some dudes do it. You know, it works for them. Okay, fine.
00:24It's not in your DNA to do that.
00:26You let your fists do the talking, but it seems now, I mean, you've always talked about
00:32you just want them to notice, listen, how good you are, and give you a chance.
00:37Getting a call for a main event has to feel pretty good, knowing that, all right,
00:41the company does see something in me.
00:43Otherwise, they're not giving me a main event.
00:46Yeah, I'm just grateful for it.
00:47Yeah, like you said, I don't talk trash.
00:50Do my kids watch this stuff?
00:52I have the hardest time trying to be fake, which I should be better at,
00:55maybe sell the fights a little more, but it's just not who I am.
00:59So, yeah, finally, you know, get a couple knockout of the nights in a row,
01:03and finally they're noticing, and yeah, short turnaround, right to Sturgis,
01:07main event, number one contender spot.
01:08So, yeah, it's finally paying off, my man.
01:11What do you think of some of the smack talk that you see now, bro?
01:15Like, it's way over the top, right?
01:17It used to just sort of be like, I'm better than you,
01:19and like, you know what, I'm tougher, I'm going to knock you out or whatnot.
01:22But, like, the family talk, now, like, there's nothing off limits, it seems.
01:27And fans eat it up.
01:28Like, I don't like it personally either.
01:30Like, I find these guys are cringe, bro.
01:32Like, it's like, dude, if you're really good, I don't mind a little showmanship,
01:36but, like, some of it, what do you see when you see some of these fighters
01:39and, like, just thinking, like, bro, do you have any, like, morals at all,
01:43or you just don't care, right?
01:44Like, yeah, I think some of it's entertaining, but, like you said,
01:49once you start crossing that line with family and personal stuff,
01:52it's really cringy.
01:53I think it's going to, like, a pro wrestling approach.
01:57I think a lot of these guys are going there, and I don't like it.
02:02I find some of it entertaining, like that Lex Ludlow dude,
02:05like his last, his post-fight interview, I actually like that.
02:08That was pretty good.
02:10He actually is funny, isn't he?
02:12Like, when he jumps through the ropes, how can you not laugh?
02:15You know what I mean?
02:16Yeah, and he's putting his name out there, and people notice,
02:20and he fought somebody that has, like, a losing record really bad.
02:25It was a layup for him, but he's got his name out there,
02:28and now he might get, like, a title shot,
02:29or he might get a big fight because of that.
02:30So I can see the value in it, but not for me.
