00:00The Biggest Games Releasing in 2026 and Beyond
00:03The gaming calendar for 2026 is quickly filling up, with publishers confirming release dates
00:08for dozens of highly anticipated titles across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC, Nintendo
00:15Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
00:17Following a month packed with announcements during Summer Game Fest, the Xbox Game Showcase,
00:22PlayStation State of Play, and Nintendo Direct, players now have a much clearer picture of
00:27what the next several years of gaming will look like.
00:32So, I'm going to skip the games, this article started with games that were since the beginning
00:39of the year, there's no reason to go over that, so I'm just going to pick up Summer.
00:48Summer continues the packed schedule with releases such as Final Fantasy 7, Rebirth with Xbox and
00:53Switch 2, Gothic 1 Remake, Little Nightmares 3, EA Sports UFC 6, Halo Campaign Evolved, Splatoon
01:02Raiders, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Re-Synced, and Marvel Tocan Fighting Souls.
01:08The second half of the year features several blockbuster launches.
01:11September includes Marvel's Wolverine, Unimusha Way of the Sword, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and
01:17Silent Hill Townfall.
01:18October is highlighted by Gears of War E-Day, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, Phantom Blade
01:25Zero, and a new Final Fantasy title.
01:28November is expected to be one of the biggest months of the year led by the release of Grand
01:33Theft Auto 6 on November 19th.
01:36December closes out the year with titles including Dragon Questmasters, Withered World, and Xenoblade
01:41Chronicles 3 for Switch 2.
01:45Looking beyond 2026, publishers have already announced projects scheduled for 2027 and later.
01:51Confirmed releases include Persona 4 Revival, Fable 4, and the final chapter of the Final
01:58Fantasy 7 Remake Trilogy.
02:00I don't think the final chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a surprise to anyone.
02:06Meanwhile, numerous games remain officially announced without release dates, including The Witcher
02:114, Mass Effect 5, Kingdom Hearts 4, Marvel's Blade, Bioshock 4, The Elder Scrolls 6, Intergalactic,
02:20The Heretic Prophet, Alien Isolation 2, Max Payne Remake, and Splinter Cell Remake.
02:26With hundreds of games either dated or officially revealed, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the
02:32busiest years the industry has seen in recent memory.
02:35As more showcases take place throughout the year, players can expect even more release dates
02:40and surprise announcements to be added to an already crowded lineup.
02:46So let's just go over some of these games.
02:54Uh, let's just go over some of these games.
02:56Um, let's see.
02:59Uh, that, uh, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, uh, for, wait a minute, that's the, isn't that the
03:07second part of the trilogy?
03:09But it's coming out for Xbox and Switch too.
03:13Um, Gothic 1 Remake, uh, they got UFC 6, which, man, I've, I haven't played 5, was 5 even,
03:23I think 5 was out before I let my Game Pass, um, my, before I let my Game Pass lapse.
03:31But even then, um, wow, they're, so they're up to 6.
03:37Halo Campaign evolved, everyone knew, Assassin's Creed, Black Flag, Resynced, we knew about.
03:43Marvel's Wolverine, I really, I wonder if, how that game is gonna be.
03:48Because, um, I love X-Men Origins Wolverine that came out, like, on the 360.
03:55I played, I think I played that game all the way through, just like Captain America.
03:59So, um, I'm really interested to see what's gonna, what's in Marvel's Wolverine.
04:07Um, Silent Hill Townfall.
04:13Again, I want, was it the last, I don't think we've had a Silent Hill game, except for remakes,
04:20since, since, like, 2013, when Downpour came out, like, on PlayStation 3.
04:25So, that's pretty awesome that we're getting a new Silent Hill game.
04:28I just wonder what it's gonna be like.
04:30Uh, cause I do think there were, like, I think there was, opinions were pretty divisive
04:36when it came out to, um, Silent Hill Townfall.
04:39Gears of War, E-Day, everyone knew.
04:43Um, keep in mind, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.
04:46Not Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 1.
04:49This is the 4th entry in the Modern Warfare series.
04:54Why they didn't go this way, and they started rebaking the first 3 Call of Duty Modern Warfare
05:00games, I don't, I do not know.
05:04But, don't expect anything risky like no Russian.
05:08Um, so, Phantom Blade, Final Fantasy, uh, Grand Theft Auto 6, which I'm expecting is to go over,
05:16like, a fart in church.
05:18Um, I'm, I just don't, I just, I just have absolutely no confidence in Grand Theft Auto 6
05:27at this point.
05:29Uh, Fable 4, that's pretty interesting to me.
05:32Um, obviously, we knew we were getting the final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake
05:38Trilogy.
05:39Um, Mass Effect 5, I've probably only got, like, the first Mass Effect game.
05:46That's always a series I wanted to get into, and I wish I had.
05:50Um, and making up lost time, I guess.
05:55Um, but I think right now I only have the first game.
06:00Uh, Bioshock 4.
06:03Uh, Bioshock 4, I did beat, I did get the Bioshock collection on Xbox One.
06:10I did beat all three, Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite, and got to play the
06:16DLC content for Infinite, which seemed like it was, like, an alternate reality, not really,
06:21um, not really canon to the story.
06:26The Elder Scrolls VI, don't know what that's gonna be.
06:29Um, the Max Payne Remake and Splinter Cell Remake.
06:34Like, I wonder what, other than, like, improved graphics, I wonder what the Max Payne, uh,
06:42the Max Payne and the Splinter Cell Remake are gonna offer, if anything.
06:46And you also don't want them to change too much, because the Max Payne games were great.
06:51I'll even defend three.
06:53Max Payne 3.
06:54Splinter Cell, same thing.
06:57Um, obviously, I've never played the original Splinter Cell.
07:01I do have to be truthful about that, but, yeah, I do want to see what's, I do want to
07:11see, uh, what this, what these two remakes are gonna be like.
07:17Um, and that's honestly my personal opinion.
07:19That's what I'm looking forward to, even if I won't be, even if I don't have, you know,
07:24like I said, my older system is an Xbox One base, and the lasers don't even, the lasers
07:32that are supposed to read the disc don't even work anymore.
07:35It's, it's a digital box, basically.
07:39But I'm still, you know, interested in finding out about these games.
07:44You know, if, if I find, like, 10 games for a console, I'll buy, I'll buy the console if
07:51I can afford it, so I can try out, like, those 10 games.
07:55Um, I haven't been able to a, a while, cause I'm still catching up on bills from when I
08:01wasn't employed for the majority of 2025.
08:05So, like, I'm catching up on bills now, and thankful, thankfully to my job, I am.
08:11Um, so, but, you know, at the same time, with what you hear about PS4s and PS5s and Xbox
08:20series, I really, I don't, like I said, I don't, until Xbox cleans up the mess Phil Spencer
08:27made, I really don't see anyone's, why anyone should buy an Xbox series or anything further
08:34than that.
08:37Um, and we will be talking about Xbox later, so it's not like, uh, I have nothing to say
08:43about them, I think I'll just save whatever I was going to say about them until I cover
08:48that story.
08:50Yeah, but, um, what games are you interested in?
08:53Let me know in the comments below.
