00:34regulatory control over a stretch of the Strait of Hormuz that extends deep into the territorial
00:40waters of the United Arab Emirates and Oman. In response, five Gulf states warned shipping
00:47companies through the International Maritime Organization not to comply. Twelve weeks have
00:53passed since the US and Israel attacked Iran. A ceasefire has held since 7 April, though both
00:59sides have exchanged fire on occasion. Iran said on Monday that Tehran and Washington had reached
01:05understandings on many issues in exchanges over a deal for ending the war. It warned an agreement was
01:11not imminent.
