00:47In the traditional
00:51Bengali dhoti and Bengali attire taking alongside with him the BJP's newly minted party president
01:00Nitin Nabeen. But this is Prime Minister Modi's moment and he has earned it in every possible
01:07way. 20 rallies across West Bengal, crisscrossing the state. Personal moments marked by eating
01:15Jhalmuri, People Connect or the iconic pictures on the boat on Hooghly and now it coming full
01:24circle. Many would suggest that it is the Prime Minister under whose leadership this has been
01:29made possible. The Bengal dream realized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, a dream that had
01:36been decades in the making. The dream which began with Shama Prasad Mukherjee, today realized
01:43by Prime Minister, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Like I pointed out viewers,
01:49when history is made, and today one can clearly say, we are standing on the cusp of spectacular
01:55history. This moment will go down in Bengal's political history where an era shifts. And
02:02when history changes, many destinies are made, many hearts are broken. But this is a moment
02:08that will mark forever the saffron era. Decades from now, when one really looks back, these
02:15will be the CPR tinted images that will mark the advent of majoritarian saffron politics in
02:22the state of West Bengal that took decades in the coming. This is not just, like I said, the
02:29symbolic ideological weight of this win is on one side. The electoral tsunami that it has
02:35scripted is the other. Not just the Prime Minister as well. You have the Home Minister a short while ago.
02:43This was his passion project. And somewhere down the line, it comes full circle. It completes for the BJP,
02:51its eternal dream that has been realized today. With scripting, what a spectacular win. For many it would be
03:02BJP breaching its last frontier. Bengal carries enormous, enormous ideological, you know,
03:11symbolic, electoral weight. It completes BJP's map east of Uttar Pradesh, the Ang, Bang and Kalinga
03:18philosophy. And you can see all of that being conceptualized, scripted, right in front of your
03:25television screens. The only holdout in the east against the BJP was Bengal and the TMC and that
03:32today totally decimated. The cavalcade of the Prime Minister pulling in. I want to cut across to our
03:41reporters. My colleague Aishwarya joins us from the BJP headquarters from the studio. It is my colleague
03:48Maria Shakil. Before I go to Aishwarya, just coming to you. Let me get in a word from Maria. Maria,
03:54for someone
03:55who's covered the party when it wasn't in power, to see it come full circle today, all wins are special
04:03for the BJP.
04:04The BJP will always make a meal of every victory, every win. But some wins will always be that more
04:11special than the
04:12others. And the victory of Bengal for the Prime Minister will not just etch history in his name for his
04:19party starting
04:20the new Safran era in Bengal, but also where it comes down to his personal personality and the cult personality
04:29of
04:30Prime Minister Modi.
04:31Absolutely, Preeti. You put that rightly. This is certainly a more special victory than most, one would say. But look
04:39at Prime Minister's attire, Preeti. It's a special message that is going to the people of Bengal that he understands
04:46the cultural ethos of Bengal, that he connects with the people of Bengal. And that is the reason why Prime
04:52Minister Modi,
04:53he dressed in dhoti, actually is visually very, very appealing to his karikartas and also to the people of
05:00Bengal. 22 states presently under the BJP leadership. That's how the Modi reach or Modi era in India is
05:10looking like in 2026. Just look at those images. On stage are the party president, the present party president and
05:20the
05:20former party presidents, J.P. Nadda, Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah. Prime Minister Modi, be prepared,
05:27will be speaking also about the role of Nitin Nabeen. He is younger than the party itself, BJP, which was
05:36founded
05:37in 1980, Preeti. Two months later is when the date of birth is of Nitin Nabeen. And Nitin Nabeen, Prime
05:44Minister,
05:44of course, will be complimenting him and saying that this victory has to do with, the BJP has managed to
05:50win Bengal under his leadership. But I think, Preeti, let's cut across to the NAT, which is coming up from
05:56there. Vinod Tavde, who is there on the rise.
05:58Aishwarya has been standing by trying to get a word in, in all the din, in all the excitement, Aishwarya.
06:04If you can really hear me, you have the top leadership coming in together, the Prime Minister
06:10being applauded, and what an applause, understandably, that he's won. The Home Minister also been
06:16applauded, and Nitin Nabeen, newly minted BJP president, been applauded as well. Give us a
06:23sense. The atmosphere has to be electric, because this victory is so special. One can trace it
06:29all the way back to Shama Prasad Mukherjee, and coming full circle. And it is this team
06:35on stage that has actually realized the eternal BJP dream in Bengal.
06:42Well, definitely, Preeti, let me just show you what's happening on this stage. We are seeing
06:46the top leadership of the BJP, including Prime Minister Modi, all of them now on the stage.
06:53And let me tell you a very interesting thing that I noticed, you know, when Prime Minister
06:56Modi was, in fact, waving at this crowd, the supporters who have come out in large numbers.
07:01And let me tell you, I can see a lot of Bengalis here in the crowd, a lot of supporters
07:06of the
07:06BJP. Prime Minister Modi, in fact, signaled to the BJP president, Nitin Nabeen, to actually
07:11come, you know, and stand with him. So this is a united victory that we are seeing taking place
07:17at the moment. The top leadership of the BJP there. Prime Minister Modi, Preeti, there.
07:23All set to speak in just a couple of minutes.
07:30Okay, the song that you heard being played at the back, he being, I think, given a small
07:35token by certain party members there. The song that you heard was the campaign song
07:41of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal. Let's listen in.
07:46We will support, we will support, we will support.
07:50Five six months through the
08:20We have fought the first five rebels and we have achieved such a big victory in such a great victory.
08:29We have achieved the victory in the party of the party today.
