UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) की धाराओं को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर Delhi High Court में सुनवाई शुरू हो चुकी है। इस मामले में वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता Arvind Datar ने दलील दी कि कानून की कुछ धाराएँ इतनी व्यापक हैं कि सरकार की आलोचना भी “disaffection against India” के दायरे में लाई जा सकती है।
इसी मुद्दे पर मैंने, Shivendra Gaur (One India Hindi) ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट मीडिया पार्क में कई वरिष्ठ वकीलों के साथ विशेष बहस की। इस डिबेट में शामिल रहे:

कुछ वकीलों ने कहा कि सरकार की आलोचना और देशविरोधी गतिविधि में स्पष्ट अंतर होना चाहिए। वहीं R.N. Mohanti का मत था कि जो लोग खुलेआम देश को तोड़ने या हिंसक बयान देते हैं, उनके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई जरूरी है।
