00:00So let's just, so nine out of the 10, but just take a quick look at the nine guys, because obviously there's going to be a big, a big, a big thing today about the lack of minority hires, specifically black guys who are well thought of coaches or position coaches or coordinators that interviewed or maybe didn't even interview, but did not get hired to be a head coach.
00:21Just go around. That's a third of the league. Yes. So that replaced their head coach. So let's, let's cross some off the list that whether there was a worthy black candidate or not, we can't be critical of this hire. Okay. Cause there's a couple of guys that do fit that bill. A couple or one. Um, let's go through it. Yeah. I think it's fair to say John Harbaugh is a worthy hire. Absolutely. Okay. No question about it. So let's cross John Harbaugh out.
00:48I believe because he was a two-time coach of the year that Kevin Stefanski being hired. This go around is a hire. You can't argue with you. Give me that one. Uh, okay. Okay. Fair enough. Yeah. All right. I'll take Stefanski off the list. All right. Let's go to Buffalo. Buffalo bills hired from within. All right. Joe Brady goes from offensive coordinator to head coach. So they did not hire a candidate from outside the organization. And let's be fair.
01:16Did a great job. Did a great job the last two years as OC. I don't think we can argue that hire for that specific team that's within. I can go with that. Although it speaks to a larger problem. Okay. We'll get to that in a second. But we're going to, we're going to agree that Joe Brady solid hire. Okay. I mean, he is a first time head coach. I took Robert Sala off the list as well. Yeah. Okay. Cleveland Browns hired Todd Munkin. Yeah. Todd Munkin at OC with the Baltimore Ravens last few years was at Georgia.
01:44Was with Cleveland previously. I think it was different ownership back then. It was a Boston college head. Yeah. Boston college head coach where he was not great. Was going to be the Giants offensive coordinator. If not for the Browns job. I think I'm okay with the Todd Munkin hire. Just go around. I mean, I'm okay with it, but I don't think he. I. A black person could have got hired there. I, but let's give me that one. Give me that one. I'll take Todd Munkin. Okay. Fair enough. All right. Okay. I'll take Todd Munkin off the list. Okay. All right.
02:14Pittsburgh Steelers. Hire Mike McCarthy. He's had two previous head coaching jobs. Won basically 12 games every year in Dallas. Won a playoff game in Dallas. That's it. Just won. And of course won the Superbowl in Green Bay. Are you okay with Mike McCarthy getting a gig this go around his third head coaching job?
02:33Not really. Not really. Not really. Not really. I'll circle that one. All right. Now here's where I think, you know what? I would take Mike McCarthy too. All right. All right. Give me Mike McCarthy. I mean, if you want. All right. Here's where we have a problem. Uh-huh. Now you have Jeff Halfley in Miami. Uh-huh. He got hired because the new GM was a coworker of his in Green Bay. Yeah.
03:03You've got Clint Kubiak. Came from the Rams system. He's now the Raiders head coach. And you've got Mike LaFleur.
03:09The son of Gary Kubiak. Yes. Also the son of a former head coach. Yeah. And then the brother of a head coach.
03:14And Mike LaFleur, whose biggest job was OC with the Jets. Uh-huh. I got fired from that gig. He's now the head coach of Arizona.
03:21Yeah. But he's currently, what is he? Seahawks offensive coordinator. He'll get hired after that.
03:25He's going to go after the Super Bowl. But the deal's done. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:28So I will tell you of those four. Uh-huh.
03:30You can't tell me there's not one black candidate as good or better.
