On this Special Report, the focus is on the escalating political war in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran, who recently joined the NDA, has launched a scathing attack on Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder and actor Vijay. Mocking Vijay's anti-corruption stance, Dhinakaran stated, 'Vijay is a sit-at-home politician and fights scams from home', further pointing out that the actor cannot even prevent the black marketing of his own movie tickets. This confrontation follows Vijay's recent criticism of the AIADMK, labeling them a 'scam party' and accusing them of surrendering to the BJP. The shift in political dynamics marks the end of a perceived non-aggression pact between the AIADMK-led alliance and the TVK. The programme examines how these developments are reshaping the electoral landscape as parties gear up for a high-stakes battle in the state.

00:00Okay, let's move on to some political news breaks coming in from poll-bound Tamil Nadu.
00:05After AIA TMK ally TTV Dhinakaran has now lashed out at TVK, at Vijay.
00:11TTV Dhinakaran has only recently joined the NDA, has mocked Vijay's corruption fight.
00:17TTV Dhinakaran says Vijay is a sit-at-home politician and fights scams from home,
00:23has even mocked him saying Vijay can't even stop the sale of tickets in black for his movies.
00:30This comes after Vijay, in his last address, didn't hold back from even lashing out at the AIA TMK on issues like corruption.
00:37And that's what's now sparked this all-out showdown, where the AIA TMK, their allies, are all targeting Vijay.
00:44Listen in to what TTV Dhinakaran has had to say.
00:53But I think that's why we can't leave the visit.
00:57This is right?
00:58Yes.
00:59That's why they were like, I was thinking of being a social media.
01:04I was thinking of being a good idea.
01:06If you go to the ULAA and the ULAA, you can't find the ULAA and you can't find the ULAA.
01:13If you go to the ULAA or the ULAA, you can't find the ULAA.
01:18You don't know if you go to the ULAA.
01:21We took the last couple of years.
01:27We took the last couple of years.
01:32We took the last couple of years.
01:36We took the last couple of years.
01:40We took the last couple of years.
01:42Let me bring in Anaka Keshe for more details on the story.
01:45Anaka, it's an all-out fight now.
01:47If previously there was some sort of understanding that the AIA, DMK and TVK would not attack each other,
01:54clearly all of that is forgotten.
01:56Vijay lashing out to the AIA, DMK, prompting now a counter from not just AIA, DMK,
02:01but interestingly TTV Dhinakaran also.
02:06Well, that's right, Takshita.
02:07In fact, so far TTV Dhinakaran had not openly lashed out at TVK's Vijay.
02:12And now that all the alliance's deals have been formalized,
02:15now that it's very clear, as clear as daylight,
02:17that TTV has now joined hands with NDA
02:20and there's no scope for an alliance with Vijay.
02:23TTV has now gone out all guns blazing at Vijay.
02:26In fact, he says that Vijay promises that he'll wipe out corruption,
02:30but he's not even able to stop his own movie tickets being sold in black market.
02:34Even today, whenever Vijay's film or any other superstar film comes out,
02:38a 150 rupee ticket gets sold at more than 2,000 rupees.
02:44So TTV says that look at the irony,
02:46he's not even able to fight corruption with his own movie ticket sales.
02:51So how will he be able to fight corruption if he becomes the chief minister
02:55is what TTV Dhinakaran asks.
02:57Even yesterday, like you rightly pointed out,
02:59there used to be some sort of unset deal between ADMK and TVK
03:03that they would not openly attack each other.
03:05But after yesterday,
03:06we saw how Vijay went all guns blazing at ADMK
03:10by saying that they have now become slaves and surrendered to BJP
03:14and also called ADMK as a scam party.
03:17And therefore, we can see all the ADMK leaders
03:20and the alliance partners openly lashing out at TVK's Vijay.
03:23Alright, Anaka, thanks for joining us with all of those details.
