On this Special Report, the focus is on the escalating tension in the Tamil Nadu Assembly as Governor R N Ravi walked out on the first day of the session. The Governor declined to deliver the customary address prepared by the MK Stalin-led DMK government, alleging it contained 'misleading claims' and 'fudged data'. An unidentified speaker, identified as a Senior Congressman, criticised the move stating, 'He was in no mood to read the Governor's address at all' and alleged that the Governor was following a political agenda to stall the state administration. The Raj Bhavan issued a statement claiming the speech ignored critical issues like women's safety, while Chief Minister MK Stalin hit out at the Governor for disrespecting the people of Tamil Nadu. The programme explores the constitutional friction between the Governor and the state government over assembly proceedings and data-driven achievements.

01:18I am aware of that.
01:22The name of the king and the king has been given by the name of the king.
01:28I have been given to you by the king and the king.
01:32I am not given to you.
01:36I am given to you by the king and the king is given to you.
01:42It is a very big issue that, you know, expecting, as I already mentioned, expecting the governor
02:05to be a mouthpiece of the DMK's government is not fair.
02:08You want the governor to come and validate your lies.
02:11You want the governor to come and support your manipulative ideas and thoughts.
02:15And the governors refuse to do that.
02:16It is very simple.
02:17So, the chief ministry getting upset over that is obvious.
02:21The Tamil Nadu assembly today, the DMK government gave a speech of Tamil Nadu governor, which
02:28is filled with all false and fake and fudged datas.
02:33The governor categorically refused to state the same and speak the same.
02:37He sought the correct data and he wanted that to be set right because it is on the assembly.
02:44It is going on records.
02:46And DMK government refused to do so.
02:48And MK Stalin, instead of sticking on to the governor's speech, wants to have his own narrative
02:53filled into the governor's speech.
02:55So, protesting the same, the Honourable Governor has left the assembly.
03:01And now, DMK and the ecosystem are trying to paint a false picture on the course of events.
03:06Just get your reaction.
03:08Hindi or English?
03:09English, sir.
03:09Okay.
03:11We have seen yet again in Tamil Nadu assembly there, the governor walking out.
03:15This is not the first time.
03:16In fact, I am joined by Senior Congress, sir.
03:18Thank you so much for speaking with us.
03:19Sir, how do you see yet again Tamil Nadu governor walking out of the assembly?
03:24See, BJP should understand, let the states perform.
03:28Let the states be a little bit happy.
03:31But the biggest problem with BJP is that if the state doesn't have an ally of BJP or is
03:38not ruled by BJP, they never allow such states to perform.
03:41And they always have some sort of a benchmarking system so that the states doesn't go ahead.
03:48This is what they have followed, which is eventually wrong.
03:51Though we are, the governor has followed the same misleading thing today also.
03:56Yeah, we've been used to it because we very well know our assembly proceedings will be boycotted
04:02by the governor.
04:03Governor has his own political views in that aspect.
04:06So he had a fixed agenda to express.
04:10He was in no mood to read the governor's address at all.
04:14Because the governor's address carries the various achievements of our government for
04:17the past five years with data-driven concepts have been given in each and every department.
04:23And the results and outcomes of the department has been expressed in the governor's address.
04:28And the projection for the next 2030 target has also been expressed.
04:32Governor was in no mood in order to read that.
