00:46Ankit, do tell us about this incident and the action taken by these college authorities.
00:52Well, going back to January 12th, this incident happened, according to the complainant.
00:59And he has alleged that two seniors, Priyanshu and the other, Mohamed Chakeb,
01:05had actually forced him to sleep outside the campus.
01:10And they also beat him using the belt and slippers.
01:15And they also forced him to trim his hair out of his wish.
01:19And he has also alleged that he has been living in fear because of the security concerns.
01:27And now taking action, the hospital administration has indeed suspended these two seniors from the hostel
01:35because they were concerned of the security of the victim.
01:39And it also highlighted the campus security and also the mental well-being of other students
01:45who are studying over there.
01:49So, the committee is investigating the matter.
01:53However, they have not concluded the report yet.
01:56According to India Today's sources, their parents were also summoned to which they have not responded yet.
02:03And the committee has given two days' time for the parents to come to face the hospital administration and questions.

02:54Could you tell us what exactly are the laws and how is the authority, the college authority, trying to toe the line in that?
03:05Well, after ragging incidents before 2009, there were ragging guidelines which were formed in 2009 as anti-ragging guidelines.
03:18And they were all institutions, whether medical colleges, engineering colleges, were asked to follow them religiously.
03:27And a committee is to be formed in every college.
03:31And yearly, these committees have to be revamped.
03:35And then new members are added.
03:38There should be a person from police and NGO, social workers, parents and teachers.
03:45So, this committee is a very diverse committee, which actually looks after the incidents.
03:53And also, they are responsible for awareness campaigns in the colleges.
