00:00Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Somnath in Gujarat today to take part in the Somnath's Babhiman Parv,
00:06a four-day programme being held from 8th to 11th of January 2026.
00:11At about 8pm today, the Prime Minister will participate in the Omkar Mantra Chanting,
00:16followed by a drone show at the Somnath Temple.
00:18Tomorrow at 9.45am, he will join the Shaurya Yatra,
00:23a ceremonial procession organised to honour the warriors who sacrificed their lives defending the Somnath Temple.
00:28The Yatra will feature a symbolic procession of 108 horses, representing valour and sacrifice.
00:34At 10.15am, the Prime Minister will perform darshan and puja at the temple,
00:39followed by addressing a public function at 11.
00:42The Somnath Swabhiman Parv marks 1,000 years since Muhammad Kasani's invasion of the temple in the year 1026,
00:54and it commemorates its enduring legacy of resilience and faith.
00:59They also hold special significance, as 2026 marks 75 years since the restored Somnath Temple was reopened to devotees in 1951.
01:10The PM will land today in Somnath, where he will chair the meeting of Somnath Mandir Trust,
01:21and then he will participate in the Omkar job.
