01:28so I'm always jealous of people that have such clear voices.

03:52Make You Mind is one of those songs I don't hear covers of a lot,

03:55just because it's a dance song.

03:56But surprisingly, it actually is a pretty song to sing.

04:01And I've done some stripped-back versions of it,

04:03and I've performed it sort of acoustic-y before,

04:05and I find that it's prettier than you might think.

04:07This song came about because I was about to go on tour,

04:10and I had written kind of an acoustic-y, slower album,

04:14my last album, Silence Between Songs.

04:16Before I was heading out on tour, I was kind of just like,

04:18I need something that feels a little more fun for stage.

04:21It feels like I don't really have anything

04:22that people could jump around to except for my old stuff.

04:24So right before the tour, I was like,

04:26Leroy, can you get in with me,

04:27and can we just make something for fun?

04:29No pressure, and let's just make a song.

04:31Which I feel like now has become such a learning lesson for me,

04:34because I feel like I make my best stuff when I'm not under pressure,

04:37and I'm not overthinking things.

04:39So yeah, we just went in, made it, delivered it.

04:42And then I teased it on TikTok, and I was like,

04:44why are people liking this, you know, and decided to make it a single.

04:48And you guys have loved it, and make cool covers like this, so thanks.

04:54I don't know if you make your own music, but I'm going to look you up,

06:00Taking notes over here, she did such a good job of conveying the emotion behind it,

06:03because it actually is really a sad song, so I absolutely love hearing it stripped back like that.

06:08Can I just say, I love that song so much.

06:11It is so beautiful, and when you hear it like that, you can really hear all the dynamic.

06:15It's just, it's a great song.

06:17That song is about another situation that actually happened.

06:22Can't get too specific, but I will say that it is about feeling like somebody might still love you,

06:29but they are with somebody new.

06:31Specifically the black car on the highway thing, I think, is so real.

06:34If you are freshly out of a relationship with someone or a breakup, I feel like you think you see them everywhere.

06:39When I was going through a breakup, I thought that I saw my ex-boyfriend's car literally everywhere all the time,

06:45so that's what that line's about.

06:47So shout out to you, Michelle, because you did an amazing job, and you just moved me hearing it.

06:52I'm so happy that she was able to see it. That's actually an old cover.

06:55And funny enough, I was actually going to wipe a lot of my covers on my channel, so very happy I didn't do that.

08:26That song is also not easy to sing, so I'm very, very impressed.

08:34As someone who started by posting covers and singing them, like, I, I just love lyrics.

08:38I love things that resonate with me.

08:40The song could be about something that I've never been through, don't relate to,

08:43but if it resonates with me for some reason, I'm just drawn to want to sing it.

08:46These days, solely want to sing theater, specifically Wicked.

08:50So that's, that's the swag I'm on, on these days.

08:53But why did I just say swag also?

08:57Anyway, but I also love when people sing my songs like that.

09:00And I do think that people hopefully can hear sometimes through the heavy production,

09:05because I'll sometimes produce a song a lot and I'll put a lot of stuff on top of it.

09:08So you can't really hear the lyrics as clearly as you can when it's stripped down like that.

09:12So I appreciate people who can hear the words, even though something like Home to Another One,

09:16for example, is kind of a song where you might be dancing to it, having fun.

09:20But if you really listen, it is quite sad, which is some of my favorite things.

09:24Sad lyric with a happy song, which is bittersweet.

11:00Performing it at the Victoria's Secret fashion show was so insane and cool.

11:04It's been such a dream of mine to perform there at all, let alone a brand new song.

11:08And they were super down.

11:09And they let me do a little medley of Make You Mine and Bittersweet and Yes Baby.

11:13So that was really cool of them.

11:15You look like you should be in a Disney movie.

11:19Oh my gosh, I could literally cry.

11:22I am obsessed with her.

11:31I remember the other week watching her on Victoria's Secret fashion show.

11:37And I was like, oh, she's just so pretty.

11:38Her vocals are on point.

11:40She's just literally perfect as a person.

11:45And she's complimenting me.

11:46And I was like, no, girl, I am complimenting you.

11:49I think she really inspired me to like, you know, pursue a singing career.

13:21Whenever I can, if I'm ever booked for a performance and they allow me to do an acoustic set,

13:25I love doing it just because I feel like you can play with things a lot more.

13:28Sometimes I find myself a little bit constrained by the production of things.

13:33And I think when you're just alone with a guitar or a piano, you can really just feel a bit more

13:38free, change the tempo easier, slow some moments out, whatever, whatever.

13:41So I love doing acoustic covers, acoustic versions of my own songs, whatever it might be.

13:46So yeah, I, I'm super into all of these.
