00:00After an 18 year wait, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is finally here, and in its best moments it feels
00:07like no time has passed at all. Beyond boasts incredible atmosphere in its meticulously crafted
00:14levels. Its core explorational gameplay really does capture the Metroid Prime of old, not to
00:20mention it looks absolutely gorgeous on Nintendo Switch 2. But it's in its new editions where
00:25Metroid Prime 4 misses its shots. The new psychic powers can feel clunky and they're not used to
00:31their fullest potential. Plus its mostly empty open world adds so much bloat, resulting in some
00:37of the most frustrating back and forth in the entire franchise. Being so close to greatness can
00:43sometimes be the bitterest feeling of all. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond can be a total blast, but it can also
00:50be a morph ball bomb.
