00:12and fraud case. According to the police complaint, an Udaipur-based doctor named Ajay Murdiya was
00:17approached by Vikram Bhatt and his associates with a proposal to invest in films. The doctor
00:21was allegedly promised four films, including a biopic on his late wife, with assured returns.
00:26An agreement was signed and the complainant claims he invested around 30 crore rupees.
00:31Police say only two films were made, while the remaining projects never took off.
00:35Investigators further claim that the accused submitted fake bills and inflated expense documents
00:40to show that the money was being used for film production, while in reality it was allegedly
00:45diverted for other purposes. When the promised films were not completed and returns did not
00:49come through, the complainant approached the police, leading to the registration of the case.
00:54Vikram Bhatt and his wife were arrested in Mumbai on 8th December 2025 and brought to Rajasthan
00:59for questioning and Udaipur court has now sent them to judicial custody as investigation continues.
