00:00Well across Virginia many will see their first accumulating snow as we move into Friday. Now
00:06our storm coming across the southern interior of the United States is mostly going to produce a
00:11soaking rain in the southeast but there's just enough cold air in the northern side of this
00:16storm that there can be a little bit of ice across Arkansas as we go through our Thursday afternoon
00:22Thursday night southern parts of Kentucky and then as the precipitation arrives in Virginia
00:28it's mostly going to be snow though there will be areas right along the North Carolina Virginia state
00:35line that start as snow then go over to ice for Raleigh and Charlotte this is mostly going to be
00:41a chilly rain for you worried about the area from Richmond to Washington DC that's mostly going to
00:47be snow also interstate 81 in western Virginia will get the snow as well how much generally a coating
00:55to an inch or two but watch that area between Harrisonburg and down toward Roanoke that's where
01:01we could get two or three inches of snow and I wouldn't be surprised if someone ended up around
01:06five or six not a lot of snow on Friday but enough to cause some slippery travel so do be careful
