00:00It's been a week, or a decade, or what the f***?
00:05Jon Stewart is finally addressing Kamala Harris' newly launched presidential campaign on The Daily Show.
00:10The show was on hiatus last week when President Biden announced that he would not seek re-election,
00:15and the host was finally able to give his two cents on Monday night.
00:19Democrats have gone from the despair of a certain Trump presidency to the joy of a statistical tie.
00:30Stewart first started out by re-enacting last week's events in the form of a one-man black box play.
00:36But who will guide us out of the darkness? Who will take us there to the promised land?
00:43The host then mocked the contradictory reactions to Harris' presidential campaign from Republican politicians over the course of last week.
00:51He cycled through clips from Republican pundits complaining that Harris doesn't like Jewish people.
00:56Join the club. We're getting crushed out there.
01:00Right now, I'm not even sure how much we like ourselves.
01:04But then went on to point out that the claim had very little validity, given that Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, is Jewish.
01:10Stewart also addressed sexist claims that Harris slept her way to the top by having sex with other male politicians,
01:16to which the comedian had this reply.
01:18So sexist, saying Kamala Harris slept her way to the top.
01:22Joe Biden and Donald Trump literally slept her way to the top, and we never heard a f***ing beep about it.
01:28Stewart went on to say that he understands why Republicans may be upset when they thought they had this election in the bag and offered some advice.
01:35It makes sense. So how about we do this? Out of fairness, I'm a fair person.
01:41You can replace your old guy, too.
01:44That's right.
