00:00In a shocking move, U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Ukraine of showing zero gratitude
00:09for America's support amid ongoing conflict with Russia. He also criticized Europe for the same
00:17and claimed that the U.S. and the Ukrainian leadership failures under the Biden administration
00:21contributed to the war. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote,
00:26The war between Russia and Ukraine is a violent and terrible one that, with strong and proper U.S.
00:32and Ukrainian leadership, would have never happened. I inherited a war that should have
00:37never happened. A war that is a loser for everyone, especially the millions of people
00:42that have so needlessly died. Ukraine leadership has expressed zero gratitude for our efforts,
00:48and Europe continues to buy oil from Russia. The USA continues to sell massive amounts of
00:53weapons to NATO for distribution to Ukraine. Trump's comments came amid the continuing
00:58international negotiations over peace proposals for Ukraine. Trump, in his social media post,
01:05also criticized European nations for continuing to purchase Russian oil. The Telegraph also mentioned
01:12that the American president referred to a 28-point U.S.-Russia peace plan that would reportedly favor
01:17Moscow. However, Ukrainian officials have responded promptly. Emphasizing their appreciation for U.S.
01:24support, Rustam Umarov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, posted on social media.
01:31Our current proposals, while still not finalized, include many Ukrainian priorities. We appreciate our
01:37American partners working closely with us to understand our concerns to reach this critical point,
01:42and we expect to make more progress today. The statements nonetheless underscored a contrast in
01:48perspectives. Trump's critique of Kyiv's leadership and European allies and Ukrainian officials' continued
01:55acknowledgement of U.S. cooperation. Earlier on November 22nd, Trump said his current proposal for peace
02:01in Ukraine to end Russia's war is not his final offer.
02:04The Ukraine war with Russia should have never happened. If I were president, it never would have
02:21happened. We're trying to get it ended. One way or the other, we have to get it ended.
02:26Meanwhile, international discussions on potential peace plans are ongoing in Geneva, with both
02:43American and European proposals on the table. Will it result in any breakthroughs in the peace
02:49negotiations? Only time will tell.
