00:00How would everyone describe the vibe on set and off? Like, was it toxic?
00:09I had a great time.
00:15We feel so incredibly lucky that we had this cast who are so fucking talented,
00:22but also so kind and open. And we were very small movies. We shot very quickly.
00:27And they were incredible. And I and to have a partner like Logan,
00:32who is so curious and loving and brilliant was so incredible and taught me.
00:41He's not toxic, sadly.
00:43I mean, this was so fun. It was so, yeah, the vibe was loose.
00:46You know, we just kind of loose. We just really let the like moments happen.
00:55And it was nice for me because that was a different vibe for me compared to other projects I've worked on.
01:01This is, you know, it's it's a comedy and I don't do many comedies.
01:06So it was nice to just find the funny and have fun and enjoy our shoot and enjoy the scenes.
01:13It's a film about romantics and situationships and friendship and our girl Iris desperately trying to convince Isaac to be with her.
01:31Perfect. Where did you come up with the title?
01:34The title? Well, originally the film was set in Ojai, California, so it was kind of a play on where it was set.
01:44And also, I do think the idea when you're getting to know someone, there is just this element of like, oh, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi.
01:53And there's a few times in the film where the character says, oh, hi.
01:57So it's kind of like a double meaning.
02:00The town that we set it in ultimately in upstate New York is called High Falls, but Iris thinks it's called Oh High Falls.
02:06So it's a play on the location and on how we kind of enter into relationships, introducing ourselves.
02:14Had you two, you guys hadn't worked or had you met before this?
02:19I mean, no, maybe.
02:23I don't think so.
02:24No.
02:24Yeah.
02:25I don't know.
02:25I mean, kind of have like connections from like way back.
02:30But no, we didn't really.
02:31No, I feel like we had a really beautiful coffee with me, Sophie and Logan.
02:39And it was like we all felt immediately so comfortable.
02:43And but yeah, I just felt, yeah, it was like a shared language.
02:48And I keep saying the best friend things, but I've known Sophie for so long.
02:52And she is one of my closest friends in the entire world.
02:55And I'm so proud of her.
02:58And she's worked so hard.
02:59We conceived this project five years ago.
03:02So to be here together now is so special.
03:06But now it feels like we've all known each other for that long.
03:10So I feel like everyone that came in, it feels like sisters.
03:14Are there things that are pulled from like actual bad dates or anything like that?
03:16Like little mini moments?
03:19Oh, yeah, for sure.
03:20Yeah.
03:20Yeah.
03:20There's so many things that I'm like, this is a little secret that I'm putting in this film.
03:25Um, yeah, I think I'd like to draw from personal experience and kind of poke fun at myself and the absurdity of dating.
03:33And I, you know, I've gone on enough dates in New York City to be like rattled by by the culture of it.
03:40Um, but I also think it's, it's really funny.
03:42And there are lots of things I didn't put in that I'll save for future work of insane, uh, you know, men.
03:53Do we think that dating is worse in New York or LA?
03:55Oh, come on, it's LA.
03:58LA.
03:59LA is the worst.
04:00Yeah, it's the worst.
04:02Yeah, probably LA.
04:04How come?
04:05There's more Spontaneity in New York.
04:07So you can like fantasize about meeting someone on the street and just winking.
04:12Can you quickly tell the story about what happened?
04:17You take it.
04:17You have a magical wink?
04:19We were out for breakfast and we were on the street sitting in New York and we were kind of talking really loudly about like what we're looking for.
04:25And we just kind of, we just want like a guy with like a job who's nice.
04:30And it's come to that.
04:33That's where we're at.
04:34And, and then this man who was sitting behind us comes up to us and is like, I couldn't help it over here.
04:41You're looking for a man who has a job and it's nice.
04:44Um, I actually have a friend.
04:46Um, so yeah, you can just like look up his name when I walk away and, um, see if you're interested.
04:52And we were like, and she, Sophie was like, well, do you have like a number?
04:55Like, how would I contact him?
04:56And he was like, just search the name.
04:58Um, and we look him up and lo and behold, it is that man who's that came to us.
05:02It was not his friend.
05:04Oh my God.
05:05That's amazing.
05:06Sound off in the comments if that's a good way to do that.
05:09I love that.
05:09In a throuple with him.
05:10And he is so sweet.
05:12He's coming to the premiere.
05:14And that man is Logan.
05:18Who is the silliest off screen?
05:22The what?
05:23The silliest.
05:24Oh, the silliest.
05:25That's a good question.
05:26I think John.
05:26Let's go to John.
05:27John.
05:28Definitely John.
05:30Yep.
05:32But we, it's a, it's a, it was a, it's a silly group.
05:35Yeah.
05:35Jer is one of my best friends in real life.
05:39And so, and we hadn't worked together since this, um, how many, like five years, six years.
05:44Yeah.
05:45And so it was fun to return to that.
05:47And I feel like I broke a lot, um, just cause yeah, we're silly together.
05:52It's true.
05:52Yeah.
05:53Yeah.
05:53Do you remember the first time you were starstruck and like from a real life, whether it be working
05:58or random?
05:59I do.
06:00I do.
06:01Yeah.
06:02Should I kick it off?
06:03Yeah.
06:03I remember I was really starstruck by Al Gore when I was nine or something.
06:10I think I was around nine.
06:11No, I think it was just because he was a thing at, you know, running for president at the
06:16time or something like that.
06:17I think that lines up and I was like, Oh my God, Al Gore, I have to meet him.
06:22Like I was like telling my mom, he's like right there, went up to Al Gore.
06:27That was my first time being starstruck.
06:29Well, I went to the American Idol finale when, and I made a fantastic Fantasia poster.
06:36And when I saw her, I started hysterically sobbing.
06:39Um, she is so talented.
06:42It's astounding.
06:43Um, but I started hyperventilating and sobbing.
06:46So I had to be taken out and leave because I was so emotionally moved by seeing her in
06:52real life.
06:53Um, your Matt's probably the most starstruck I've ever been.
06:56I remember my first day in LA when I was like 15, I saw Matt LeBlanc at Ralph's.
07:02And I was, I'm the biggest friends fan.
07:08So I was freaking out.
07:09And then I was just doing like laps around the aisles.
07:12Like truly like I went to like the fruit and veg section and was like, what do I do?
07:17What do I say?
07:18Um, but I couldn't say anything.
07:21I would freak out if I saw him now.
07:23Right.
07:23Yeah.
07:23That's freaking Jerry.
07:24Yeah.
07:32Yeah.
07:33Yeah.
07:34Yeah.
07:35Yeah.
07:36Yeah.
07:37Yeah.
07:38Yeah.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Yeah.
07:41Yeah.
07:42Yeah.
07:43Yeah.
07:44Yeah.
07:45Yeah.
07:46Yeah.
07:47Yeah.
07:48Yeah.
07:49Yeah.
07:50Yeah.
07:51Yeah.
07:52Yeah.
07:53Yeah.
07:54Yeah.
07:55Yeah.
07:56Yeah.
07:57Yeah.
07:58Yeah.
07:59Yeah.
08:00Yeah.
